Welcome! Therapy is an invitation for healing and change, so congratulate yourself for taking this step toward transformation in your life. My name is Bridget, founder of Mind Move Therapy, where I provide psychotherapy, somatic movement therapy, and physical health coaching. I approach therapy from a holistic perspective—integrating emotional, physical, and cognitive aspects of well-being. I specialize in somatics, emphasizing that the body holds emotions, trauma responses, and stress, so healing involves working with the body as well as the mind. Clients often report meaningful progress in therapy with me. You can overcome symptoms of trauma and stress, heal from the past, and move toward a happier, more meaningful life. I specialize in treating various traumas, including childhood trauma, abuse, loss, and PTSD. I specialize in the treatment of stress, anxiety and depression. I work with clients with Borderline Personality tendencies or those impacted by BPD. I work with clients with Body Dysmorphic Disorder and other somatic issues. I support clients with addiction issues. Every client walks a unique path and deserves to be listened to and understood in an empathetic way. I create a safe, therapeutic environment where clients have the opportunity to explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviors in which to gain insight, experience shifts in emotional states and find a renewed sense of mental and physical well-being.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll introduce ourselves and begin building a comfortable and trusting space for our work together. I’ll ask questions to learn more about your history, current concerns, and goals so we can begin shaping a direction for therapy that feels supportive and meaningful to you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe my greatest strengths are being compassionate, knowledgeable, and passionate about supporting my clients’ well-being and mental health. In addition to being a psychotherapist, I am a Somatic Activated Healer and bring a wealth of mind–body knowledge into my therapy practice.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am a somatic mind–body psychotherapist who is best suited to work with individuals who want to deepen their connection with their emotions and their bodies. I support clients who are interested in increasing their overall mind–body health and developing greater awareness of how emotions, stress, and past experiences are held in the body. Together, we work to build emotional awareness, regulate the nervous system, and create healthier patterns that support healing, resilience, and overall well-being.
Somatic
Often clients overthink, ruminate or try to solve problems from their thoughts alone. The body experiences emotions though, and it is through the body that healing can take place. I work with clients to create a mind body balance, work with emotions directly and support clients to build a toolkit of healthy coping skills that includes body based practices to support their mental and emotional health.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy includes clients reflecting on their patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, as each part influences the other.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT utilizes Mindfulness practices, Distress Tolerance skill building, Interpersonal skills ( you in relation to others), and emotional regulation skills to support clients to exceed healing into even greater positive states. Mindfulness: Fostering calm and self-awareness to decrease emotional reactivity and increase intentional responses. Distress Tolerance: Teaching clients how to manage and tolerate emotional pain in challenging situations without resorting to harmful behaviors. Emotion Regulation: Helping clients understand, label, and manage intense emotions to respond more effectively. Interpersonal Effectiveness: Building communication skills to maintain healthy relationships, set boundaries, and handle conflict constructively. This evidence-based approach is particularly effective for individuals struggling with intense emotions, self-destructive behaviors, or conditions like Borderline Personality Disorder. It balances validation of a client’s experiences with tools to empower meaningful change. It starts by understanding how the past is shaping the present.
Attachment-based
Attachment Theory and Childhood Trauma: Early trauma often manifests as wounds stemming from disrupted parent-child attachment bonds. Healing occurs through recognition, processing, and empowerment, helping clients navigate and transform attachment challenges.

Bridget has been nothing short of amazing when it comes to my therapy. She acts like we've known each other forever&we always pick up where we left off. I've had 8 sessions now, working out childhood/pastrelationship trauma/death of friends/loved ones/massive amounts of grief. She seems so engaged and also empathizes with my feelings. She never makes me feel like my emotions don't matter and reassures me that they're importrant. Bridget is a great asset to Growtherapy!!
