I’m a licensed therapist who supports women who have spent most of their lives being the strong one, the responsible one, and the over-functioner for everyone else. Many of the women I work with grew up emotionally neglected or learned early on that their value came from how much they could carry. I help them reconnect with themselves, feel grounded again, and build a sense of identity and worthiness that isn’t tied to performance, achievement, or constantly being “the strong one.”
As a Licensed Psychotherapist in Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire and Texas, I am dedicated to fostering healing and personal growth through an integrative approach to mental health. My practice is built on the belief that true healing involves the mind, body, and spirit, and this conviction led me to embrace the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method as a powerful tool in my therapeutic work.
With extensive training in trauma-informed care, I have witnessed the profound impact that somatic practices can have on emotional and psychological healing. The Trauma Conscious Yoga Method not only complements traditional psychotherapy but also enhances my clients' ability to process trauma at a deeper level. By merging mindfulness-based yoga techniques with evidence-based therapeutic practices, I create a safe space where individuals can explore their feelings, release tension, and cultivate resilience.
My approach is tailored to meet each client's unique needs, blending talk therapy with mindful movement and breathwork. This experiential method empowers clients to reconnect with their bodies, develop greater self-awareness, and foster a sense of grounding and stability. I am passionate about guiding individuals on their journeys toward healing, helping them reclaim their stories and find peace in their bodies.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, chronic illness, life stressors, or the lasting effects of trauma, my goal is to empower you to reclaim your narratives and move toward a place of balance and inner peace. I am here to support you in discovering the strength and tools you possess within. Together, we can embark on a transformative path toward wellness and self-empowerment.

I am a graduate of Virginia Union University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and I later went on to receive my Master's degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health from Howard University. Throughout my studies, my practicum experience consisted of working with the Maryland Truancy Court Reduction Program and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. I received post-graduate, intensive training at the Immigration Evaluation Training Center in the area of extreme hardship waivers, domestic violence (VAWA) & asylum immigration evaluations in Virginia and Washington, DC.
Thereafter, I later went on to work in a variety of settings that have afforded me the opportunity to diversify my work and skill set with different populations and individual needs. This includes addiction, foster care & adoption, community support and residential treatment. My experience has afforded me the opportunity to learn from and support individuals who struggle with everyday life stressors, those that are impacted by mild, moderate, severe and chronic mental illness. My background includes adolescents, young adults, adults, and geriatrics who are struggling with mental health challenges.
In 2017 I began working in leadership at Gateway Homes, Inc. where I gained expertise with serving individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. My practice opened in 2020 and I continue to provide direct services to individuals in the community who are struggling with different social, emotional and behavioral issues that are causing discomfort.

As a mental health therapist, my goal is to help you untangle these knots of emotions that are holding you back and keeping you from living your life to the fullest. I am the wife of a Retired Combat Veteran and a mother to four beautiful children. I understand the complexities of being separated from your spouse for extended periods and feeling alone in the relationship and raising the children. Even the most well-prepared and successful person can find themselves wondering how things became so complicated, messy, or challenging, and feel at a loss when it comes to what to do to put the pieces back together. People have been shaped and molded by their past experiences, both good and bad. Often, people feel drawn to focus on the bad experiences, leading to pain and struggles of many kinds.
A Big Hello to you. You are scanning all these profiles. Looking for something to stand out to make you say,"I will go with this one." It is daunting but you have made it this far. Here is the tip. Your choice is not terminal. It is absolutely ok to try multiple therapists to see who gets you the best. Who understands you the best. After each session, you should feel lighter. You may not recall all that was said, but you will note how you feel. Did you feel heard? Understood? Did the therapist talk to me like they were reading a book or did it sound like they really got me? When you get the right one, those questions will be answered with a firm, Yes.
Please Note: I only provide Talk Therapy in my practice. If you are looking for letters for work, ESA, Social Security, FMLA, Family Court, etc., unfortunately I cannot help. You will need a psychological evaluation by a forensic psychologist. This agency does not provide assessments, letters for claims or appearances in court.
Hello! Are you experiencing anxiety about your relationship and/or attachment challenges? I am a licensed clinical social worker. I'm licensed in Florida and Texas. I received my Master's degree from Rutgers University, State college of New Jersey. I have experienced a lot of challenges in the African American community as it relates to trauma, disguised as anxiety/depression and manifesting into anger and seclusion. Generational trauma is real.
My passion is assisting clients gain self-acceptance, sustain intimate relationships and regain confidence. I have a business background and understand women issues with regard to transitioning into leadership positions. If you require coaching in this area, I am very skilled and experienced.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Therapist with over 11 years of professional experience. I work with teens, adults, and seniors to address a wide range of issues, including alcohol use, addictions, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, poor coping skills, family conflict, men's issues, narcissism, racial identity issues, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and substance use issues.
My journey into therapy began with a desire to help the hurting individuals I worked with in a group home, and a genuine passion for helping others find strength through life’s most difficult moments. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people facing a wide range of challenges—experiences that have shown me just how powerful and transformative therapy can be. These moments have only deepened my commitment to walking alongside others on their path to healing. I’m continually inspired by the belief that every person holds the capacity for growth, resilience, and change. We can change and heal. Sometimes we just need a little help along the way.
I welcome clients from all walks of life by supporting folx work through trauma, identity issues, sexuality, executive functioning and difficulties with a fluster of emotions navigating life. I have a passion for folx identifying as Neurodivergent, BIPOC, and LGBT+. I specialize in working with folx who've faced trauma, inequality, or struggle to fit societal norms. As a queer intersectional therapist, I prioritize inclusivity, acceptance, and empowerment. I validate experiences, offering guidance to develop resilience and self-acceptance. I believe in advocacy and justice efforts, both in and outside of my office space.
I am a Christian and Afro-Caribbean mom and forever learner. Psychology and healing deeply excite me. I dipped my toe into psychiatry for the first time as a high school student and am still furthering my education in clinical psychology today. I know there is a greater capacity for healing available to individuals who have always looked inward, fist-fought generational patterns, and still feel stuck in a world that says they need 15 more tasks completed by yesterday. I work to be a safe resting place for people who have moved from therapist to therapist, searching for someone who will truly see them for who they are rather than who the world has tried to mold them into. I desire to fill the Keturah-sized space in that wellness gap. I enjoy working side-by-side with clients to explore areas of possibility, rest, healing, and growth, and then provide the tools to make these things possible.

Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, will attempt to notify you of this change in status as soon as possible after one month. My ethical duty is identifying, being available, and caring for current clients. It could feel awkward for our relationship to end, yet it is not meant to be discourteous in any way. I do not complete disability forms (Social Security, work excuse, FMLA, Court papers/legal papers, emotional support letters, etc).

As a licensed mental health counselor, I am dedicated to supporting people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs on their mental health journeys. With a special focus on women’s mental health, I have extensive experience working with those facing challenges such as depression and anxiety. I understand that these struggles can often be intertwined with hormonal shifts and imbalances, and I am here to help you explore these connections.
Hello, I am Shaqueena. Are you tired of being tired? Do you feel that no one understands your situation or that no one can relate? Are you unsure if therapy is right for you?
If you are here, then that means that you are ready and motivated to make some changes in your life. Seeking help can sometimes be tough, which is why I believe that we all experience things in our life that goes beyond our ability to cope and when that happens we need a little more assistance.
As a licensed professional counselor, my ultimate goal is to first normalize seeking assistance by decreasing the stigma on mental health. In doing so, my goal is to assist individuals in their healing process, to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves and to help individuals to see that life is completely what you make it.
My preference for treatment is to utilize a trauma-informed approach in addition to CBT, EMDR and Choice/Reality Therapy.
