I’m a licensed psychotherapist with a background in clinical psychology and former experience in the medical field. I provide individual and couples therapy with a focus on insight-oriented, relational work that helps clients build self-awareness, emotional resilience, and meaningful, lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in a deep respect for each person’s unique story and cultural context. I have had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those navigating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I strive to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their inner experiences, gain clarity, and move toward healthier ways of being and relating. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based treatment I’ve been using for the past two years. EMDR has been especially effective in helping clients process PTSD, C-PTSD, generational trauma, and other trauma-related concerns. I also integrate somatic, attachment-based, and mindfulness-informed techniques to support holistic healing and growth. My goal is to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them as they reconnect with their values, inner strengths, and sense of self. I am dedicated to providing culturally responsive care that respects and affirms each person’s identity and lived experience. Whether you're seeking support for personal growth, emotional healing, or navigating life’s challenges, I am here to support you with compassion, clarity, and authenticity.

I am a psychotherapist who helps teens and adults feel better by talking through what’s been hard and teaching ways to handle big feelings. I create a safe space where you can be yourself, talk about anything, and not feel judged. Sometimes, we look at how past experiences or relationships may be affecting how you feel now. If you’ve gone through something really scary or upsetting, I use gentle ways to help you feel safer and more in control again. My job is to help you understand what’s going on inside and give you tools to feel stronger, calmer, and more like yourself. If you want, we can include your faith and beliefs as part of the conversation too.

Golf, FL - Accepting clients in FL

My self-pay rates: $225 for a thorough intake assessment, $200 for couple and family therapy, $175 for individual therapy sessions. I am currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in FL, who has also had training in a PhD in Couple and Family Therapy program. LMFTs are uniquely trained to view problems through a systemic lens. Humans do not exist in a bubble, which means we impact the systems we are a part of and those systems impact us. My life experiences are what lead me into the helping field. Typically, the therapist who can best help someone is a therapist who has shared experiences with their clients. As a result of the many traumas, including medical traumas, I have experienced, I have learned how to work through trauma, negotiate its current impacts, and rediscover a preferred path. I enjoy spending time outdoors, including water recreation and nature hikes and am also a lover of all things animal and nature. My goal with clients is to help them determine which path is the correct one for them and support them on their journey. While I am an expert in my field, my clients are the experts on their lives. Collaboratively, we will work as a team to improve quality of life and learn how to endure life’s stressors in a healthy way and achieve goals while ensuring my clients feel heard, supported and valued despite their struggles. Ensuring a safe space to discuss the most uncomfortable topics is of utmost importance. There is no topic off limits and no shame in discussing what may feel embarrassing because you will not find judgment from me in our work. Ever.

Hi, I’m Allison. Whether you’re feeling burned out, stuck in unfulfilling patterns, or having challenges in your relationships, therapy can help you recover and feel more grounded. Many of the people I work with are new to therapy. They may not have a specific diagnosis or crisis, but they know something feels “off.” Clients often tell me they feel comfortable opening up with me quickly. If you're feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, know that meaningful change is possible. Let’s work together to help you feel more content, empowered, and like yourself again. Clients often tell me they feel at ease opening up to me. Many feel relieved to have a therapist who offers active guidance, rather than just listening without direction. Finding relief and reconnecting with a sense of peace is more achievable than it might feel right now—and once you start, the process of change often unfolds more quickly than you expect. I approach therapy by looking at the root cause of problems, rather than focusing on one problem at a time. I work from a systemic perspective, which means we will dive into your personal relationships, behavior patterns, and lifestyle choices which are interconnected with the issues you may be facing. If you'd like to learn more about me and my therapy methods, feel free to visit my website at www.mindtalkhealing.com

I am a fully licensed clinician in Florida who has dedicated my career to helping my clients experience an authentic and fulfilling life. I enjoy getting to know my clients and being an added support to their journey. I have worked with active duty military and their families, adolescents and teens in the school system, incarcerated individuals and helped reintegrate back into civilian life, and now, where I work in private practice with families looking to reconnect with their spouses, children and on an individual basis as well. This at times takes a deeper look at how to work through emotions that cause barriers to our success. I help clients connect with their inner thoughts and emotions to communicate more effectively.

Winter Garden, FL - Accepting clients in FL

Dr. Alexis (she/they) is a queer, neurodivergent, Latinx therapist and guide who supports Women of Color, LGBTQ+ folks, and late-diagnosed neurodivergent individuals navigating burnout, identity, and relational healing. Using the *The Restorative Thread* methodology she developed, she weaves together narrative therapy, somatic practices, and culturally grounded care to help clients unmask, reconnect, and reclaim their truth—in their own time and in their own way. Many of her clients are deeply capable and outwardly composed, yet inwardly carrying exhaustion, disconnection, or the weight of constantly being “on.” Dr. Alexis offers a restorative, affirming space where you can explore who you are *beyond survival*, and begin to live more fully aligned with your essence embodiment.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Florida rather than a city like Tampa?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
