About me

Hello and welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida with almost eight years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults. I earned my Master’s degree from Barry University and have a passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges—whether that’s anxiety, depression, school or work stress, or relationship difficulties. In our work together, I focus on teaching healthy coping strategies, improving communication skills, and finding effective ways to manage emotional triggers. My goal is to empower you to feel more balanced, confident, and fulfilled in your daily life. Outside of my professional role, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, and playing card games. I’m dedicated to ongoing learning, both personally and professionally, so I can continue to provide the best support possible. I believe that every challenge offers an opportunity for growth, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you take steps toward healing and change. Above all, I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

🌿 Your First Therapy Session: What to Expect 🌿 Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous. My goal is to make your first session feel safe, comfortable, and welcoming. Here’s what we’ll focus on together: ✨ Getting Comfortable We’ll start with simple introductions and take some time to get to know each other. You don’t need to share everything at once, just whatever feels right for you. ✨ Talking About What Brings You Here This is your chance to share what’s been on your mind, whether it’s stress, anxiety, sadness, relationship struggles, or anything else. We’ll also talk about what you’d like to get out of therapy. ✨ How Therapy Works I’ll explain my approach, how sessions usually go, and what you can expect. We’ll also talk about confidentiality and answer any questions you might have. ✨ Learning More About You I may ask a few questions to better understand your background, experiences, and what’s been hardest lately. This helps me tailor therapy to you. ✨ Next Steps Before we wrap up, we’ll create a plan together, things like how often we’ll meet, what we’ll focus on, and small tools you can start using right away. 💡 Remember: The first session is just the beginning. It’s about building trust, easing into the process, and making sure you feel supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. I bring empathy and understanding to every session, along with a client-centered approach that focuses on each person’s unique needs and goals. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds, and I value building strong, open communication with my clients. I’m also committed to my own professional and personal growth, so I can continue to provide the most effective and supportive care possible. These strengths allow me to walk alongside clients as they face challenges, helping them build resilience and move toward the changes they want to see in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, or life challenges connected to school, work, or relationships. I especially enjoy working with children, teens, and adults who are looking for a safe, supportive space to talk through their experiences, learn new coping skills, and move toward positive change. My style is empathetic, client-centered, and collaborative. I focus on helping clients feel understood while empowering them to navigate the challenges they’re facing. Whether it’s a child struggling with school anxiety, a teen coping with depression, or an adult working through relationship stress, I provide a space where clients can explore their emotions and begin building the tools they need for healing and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT regularly with clients to explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through exploring how these things are connected, making changes, and learning healthy coping skills many clients are able to make life-long changes to lessen negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Attachment-based

I use attachment-based therapy to explore and address patients' early attachment patterns and how these influence their current relationships, self-esteem, and coping mechanisms. I work with patients to understand how their formative attachments have shaped their sense of safety, trust, and self-worth. This approach allows me to help clients develop healthier, more secure attachments by building awareness of these influences, fostering emotional regulation, and promoting meaningful connections in their present lives.

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation to help patients understand their symptoms, diagnoses, and the mechanisms underlying their mental health challenges. This process empowers patients by providing them with information about how certain thoughts, behaviors, or emotions develop and are maintained. By explaining the "why" behind treatment strategies, I help patients feel more informed, reduce any stigma they may feel, and increase their engagement in the therapeutic process, ultimately aiding them in making more effective progress toward their goals.

Strength-Based

Through strength-based therapy I focus on each patient’s unique abilities, resilience, and past successes to foster empowerment and growth. I help patients identify and build on their inherent strengths rather than focusing solely on their problems. By recognizing their existing resources and skills, patients can gain confidence in their capacity to cope, adapt, and make positive changes, which contributes to a more optimistic and self-affirming therapeutic experience.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) to help adolescent patients process and reframe trauma-related thoughts and emotions. I guide them through structured techniques that promote emotional regulation, reduce distress, and develop healthier thought patterns around traumatic experiences. By using TF-CBT, I create a safe space for patients to explore their trauma at a manageable pace, gradually lessening its impact and helping them build resilience. This approach combines cognitive restructuring with trauma-sensitive interventions to support healing and recovery.
