LCSW, 3 years of experience
Hello there, and thank you for being here. As a psychotherapist, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. My work focuses on supporting those dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and relationship difficulties, as well as the unique stress that healthcare professionals and first responders often carry. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can find relief, strengthen resilience, and restore balance in both your personal and professional life. Together, we work toward healing, greater clarity, and a renewed sense of connection.
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and collaborative space where we begin to build a therapeutic relationship. I take time to understand what brings you to therapy, explore your current concerns, and learn about your personal history, values, and goals. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to get a sense of your emotional landscape and any patterns or challenges you’ve been facing. The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for my style and ask any questions you might have about the therapy process. We’ll discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, and together, we’ll begin shaping a path forward that feels meaningful and supportive. My goal is to create a safe and grounded space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered from the very start.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to create a safe, culturally sensitive space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood without judgment. I bring a calm, grounded presence and a deep respect for each person’s unique story, which helps clients feel at ease, even when exploring difficult or painful experiences. My clinical background, combined with my experience working across diverse communities, allows me to navigate complex emotional and relational issues with empathy and clarity. I also offer a thoughtful, insight-oriented approach that encourages deep self-reflection while staying attuned to each client’s pace and needs. Whether I’m helping someone process trauma through EMDR, navigate a relationship challenge, or explore their inner world, I strive to balance emotional depth with practical, actionable support.
I work best with individuals who appear strong and capable on the outside but are carrying deep struggles within. Many of my clients are overfunctioning in their daily lives, taking care of everyone else while quietly setting their own needs aside. Often, they are coping with the weight of childhood trauma, relationship pain, or other life challenges that continue to shape how they see themselves and others. Despite all they have carried, they long for relief, genuine connection, and a space where they no longer have to hold everything together on their own. My role is to provide that space by offering a safe and compassionate environment where healing, balance, and self-care can finally take root.
I have been using EMDR in my practice for the past two years to effectively treat PTSD, C-PTSD, generational trauma, and a range of other trauma-related disorders, helping clients process distressing memories and foster emotional healing.
I integrate attachment-based treatment by focusing on building a secure therapeutic relationship, helping clients explore early relational patterns, and addressing how those patterns affect current relationships. With individuals, I guide them in understanding unmet attachment needs and developing healthier emotional regulation and interpersonal strategies. This approach supports clients in forming secure connections, increasing self-awareness, and fostering emotional resilience. My experience shows it is especially effective for clients with relational trauma, complex PTSD, and difficulties with trust and intimacy.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. In my practice, I guide clients to recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and actions, and support them in developing more balanced and constructive thinking. I incorporate practical tools such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and coping strategies to manage symptoms like anxiety, depression, and stress. CBT is goal-oriented and collaborative, making it effective for clients seeking clarity, structure, and lasting change in how they respond to challenges.
In couples counseling, I focus on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and deepening emotional connection. I help partners identify negative interaction patterns, understand each other’s needs, and develop healthier ways to resolve conflict. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each couple’s unique dynamics, fostering empathy, mutual respect, and emotional safety. I integrate evidence-based techniques to strengthen the relationship foundation and support long-term growth. This method is effective for couples facing challenges such as miscommunication, emotional disconnection, infidelity, or life transitions.
In family therapy, I work with members to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships within the family system. My approach emphasizes understanding each person’s role, perspective, and emotional needs, while fostering empathy and cooperation. I help families identify unhealthy patterns, set healthy boundaries, and develop practical strategies for navigating challenges together. Sessions are tailored to support healing, build trust, and promote a more cohesive and supportive family environment. This approach is effective for issues such as parent-child conflict, major life transitions, and intergenerational tension.
