Hi, I'm Amanda! I specialize in working with folks who identify as female & nonbinary. I've been a therapist for 7+ years working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, stress, life transitions, & relationship dynamics including communication & boundary issues. My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, & person-centered, offering support that's empowering & tailored to your needs. Therapy with me can be a space to slow down, gain clarity, & begin reconnecting with yourself. I'm also a Nutrition & Dietetic Technician, Registered (NDTR) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), which naturally shapes how I show up!
During our first session, we’ll begin by answering any questions you may have about therapy or the process. From there, I’ll revisit what we discussed during your consultation call and begin a biopsychosocial assessment to better understand your experiences, history, and what brings you to therapy at this time. This session is collaborative, paced with care, and focused on helping you feel comfortable and understood.
What stands out about my approach is the emphasis I place on creating a space where clients feel genuinely safe, understood, and supported. In my work, I focus on teaching practical, compassionate coping skills while offering empathy and validation. Being a Nutrition & Dietetic Technician, Registered and a Registered Yoga Teacher also provides me with a background that really focuses on the whole person, rather than just one area of a persons life.
My ideal clients are female identifying and non-binary teens (16+) and adults who are genuinely interested in being in therapy and are ready to engage in the process as they navigate anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, time management challenges, communication difficulties, or difficulties setting healthy boundaries. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to make meaningful changes, explore patterns with curiosity, and move toward greater confidence, balance, and self-trust.

I incorporate attachment-based therapy by helping clients explore how past relationships and emotional experiences shape their patterns, self-worth, and connections today. Through a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship, we work toward healing old wounds, strengthening self-trust, and fostering healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.
I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy by helping clients notice the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how these patterns may be impacting their wellbeing. Together, we build practical tools to shift unhelpful thinking, strengthen coping skills, and create more balanced, supportive ways of responding to stress and everyday challenges.
I use compassion-focused therapy to help clients cultivate kindness and understanding toward themselves, especially during times of self-criticism or emotional struggle. Together, we build self-compassion skills to reduce shame, strengthen resilience, and support emotional healing and personal growth.
I use emotion-focused therapy to help clients explore and understand their emotional experiences, uncovering underlying needs and patterns. Together, we process emotions in a safe, supportive space to foster healing, self-awareness, and more authentic connections with themselves and others.
I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy by guiding clients to bring present-moment awareness and acceptance to their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we develop skills to reduce stress, manage difficult emotions, and foster greater calm, clarity, and balance in daily life.
