I’m Evamary Largaespada, a Licensed Professional Counselor supporting children, parents, and adults in creating meaningful, lasting change in their lives. I work with children from infancy through adolescence, first-time and prenatal parents, and adults looking to heal from past experiences, understand how their childhood impacts their present, and break generational cycles. In my practice, I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, thoughts, and life experiences. I integrate Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and attachment-based approaches to help clients heal, grow, and build stronger relationships with themselves and others. I guide adults in connecting with and healing their inner child, understanding patterns shaped by early experiences, and developing new ways of relating to themselves and their loved ones. For families, I support children and parents in strengthening their bond, improving communication, and fostering emotional resilience. Together, we work to create trust, emotional safety, and self-awareness, paving the way for healing, personal growth, and healthier relationships across generations.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a space to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything or have it all figured out—we’ll move at your pace. We’ll explore what life has been feeling like for you, your goals for therapy, and what you’re hoping to gain. I may ask some background questions to better understand you, but you’re always in control of what you share. This session is also a chance to see if we’re a good fit. Expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where we can begin identifying what you’d like to work on together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

If you work with me, you won’t be rushed or judged. I focus on creating a space where you feel truly seen and supported, especially if you carry attachment wounds, trauma, or patterns rooted in childhood. Together, we’ll explore how your past shows up in your present—your relationships, emotions, and choices—so you can respond with more clarity instead of shame. I blend warmth with honesty. I’ll meet you with compassion while also encouraging you to stay open, take responsibility for your growth, and do the deeper work. The goal isn’t just insight, but real, lasting change—breaking generational cycles, strengthening boundaries, and moving through life transitions with more confidence and self-trust.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Do you feel stuck in patterns from your childhood that affect your relationships, emotions, or sense of self? Are you a parent navigating the challenges of raising young children, or an adult wanting to heal your inner child and break generational cycles? I work with adults, parents, and families who want to understand what’s beneath the surface of behaviors and emotions, build stronger relationships, and create space for growth and healing. Together, we’ll explore your past, support your present, and help you move forward with more clarity, resilience, and authenticity. Whether you’re facing life transitions, grief, anxiety, or the challenges of parenting, I provide a safe, supportive space to understand yourself better, respond to life with care, and create the meaningful change you’re looking for.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My clinical experience is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, which guides how I show up with clients in my practice. I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and valued. I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences, and therapy is a collaborative process that supports their natural capacity for growth and self-healing.

Existential

I have experience using existential therapy to support clients in exploring meaning, identity, and personal responsibility while navigating life’s challenges. My work focuses on the whole person, viewing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions as natural responses to uncertainty and change. I work collaboratively with clients to increase self-awareness, clarify choices, and support more authentic, meaningful living.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have experience providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to children and families, helping them process trauma, build coping skills, and reduce trauma-related symptoms. In my practice, I use TF-CBT in a developmentally appropriate and client-centered way, collaborating with caregivers to support healing, resilience, and long-term emotional well-being.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I have training and experience in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), a trauma-informed approach that strengthens the relationship between children and their caregivers. Through CPP, I work to help children process traumatic experiences while supporting parents in understanding and responding to their child’s emotional needs. In my practice, I use CPP to create a safe, supportive environment where both children and caregivers can heal together, improve communication, and build stronger, more secure relationships.

Attachment-based

I have extensive experience in attachment-based therapy, working with children, parents, and families to strengthen emotional bonds and promote healthy relational patterns. I focus on helping clients understand how early attachment experiences influence current relationships and emotional functioning. In my practice, I use these principles to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore emotions, improve communication, and build secure connections with themselves and others. My goal is to help clients develop stronger relationships, emotional resilience, and a sense of security in their interactions.
