Hello, My name is Adrienne Capeless and I'm a licensed clinical social worker passionate about helping individuals living with grief, loss, anxiety or trauma. I blend talk therapy with body work and somatic practices to help you reconnect with your body and find healing from within. I believe in creating a safe, compassionate space where your story is honored, and you can explore the depths of your experience at your own pace. Together, we’ll work towards understanding your pain, building resilience, and reclaiming your strength. Whether you’re dealing with recent loss, anxiety or past trauma, I’m here to support you on your journey to healing. I have over 10 years of mental health experience working with kids, teens and adults. I specialize in helping you move through grief and trauma with a combination of talk therapy and somatic practices.
In the first session and in all sessions, my clients can expect a safe, collaborative space to come as they are. The first session can go quickly as we discuss current and past life stressors and potential goals in therapy. I offer psychoeducation on anxiety, the nervous system, grief, trauma and its effect on our bodies. In the first session I want my clients to feel hopeful that we are headed in direction of regulation and healing.
A trauma informed mind body approach is my speciality to help you understand your nervous system and ways to feel empowered. I call my approach witchy + intuitive psychotherapy. I pride myself in offering a safe, nonjudgemental space for my clients to reclaim their power.
I am best positioned to serve clients in distress following a loss. Grief and loss is something universal that we all experience but are often left feeling alone in our feelings and experiences. I also work well with clients struggling to manage anxiety and symptoms of trauma and they find that there are mental and physical health effects that impact their lives. I often work with clients who have tried therapy in the past, but did not feel that it was helpful or the full piece of the puzzle.
I've been using attachment-based interventions for years to assist my clients in understanding their behavior in relationships in order to improve communication and gain healthier more secure relationships.
I've been using CBT based techniques and interventions since 2018 to help my clients analyze their intrusive or anxious thoughts in order to gain a compassionate and realistic perceptive.
I feel that we can grieve the loss of people and pets in our lives as well as relationships. I've been specializing in grief therapy for the past couple years following my own experience with parent and pet loss. I offer a safe space to process grief and loss in order to grow around and with grief compassionately.
I have been incorporating a mind-body approach to my practice since 2020. I believe in the healing that comes with body work and incorporating somatic therapy elements into my sessions. This allows our bodies to process and release emotions as well as our minds.
