I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, drawing from attachment-based therapy, EMDR, person-centered therapy, and family systems concepts to support each client’s unique needs and goals. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to gain insight, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, my focus is on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and beginning to build a comfortable and supportive therapeutic relationship. We will discuss your current concerns, relevant background information, goals for therapy, and any questions or concerns you may have about the counseling process. My approach is collaborative and paced with your comfort level in mind, so there is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to discuss. The initial session also helps us determine how we can best work together to support your goals and overall well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to build genuine therapeutic relationships, create emotional safety, and help clients gain deeper insight into the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. Clients often describe feeling truly heard, understood, and challenged in supportive ways that encourage meaningful growth rather than judgment. My therapeutic approach is integrative and individualized, meaning I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method. I draw from attachment-based therapy, EMDR, client-centered therapy, family systems, CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients process difficult experiences, improve relationships, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping patterns. I balance compassion with honesty and accountability, supporting clients who are ready to engage in meaningful self-exploration and lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to engage in the therapeutic process with openness, honesty, and a willingness to do the work necessary for growth and healing. Many of the clients I work best with are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, or longstanding patterns that no longer serve them. They may feel stuck, disconnected, or exhausted from carrying the weight of past experiences, but are motivated to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. I work from a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach while also encouraging accountability, insight, and active participation in the process. Therapy can be challenging at times, especially when exploring deeper emotional wounds or patterns, and I value working with clients who are willing to lean into that process at a pace that feels safe and manageable. My goal is to help clients build greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of connection to themselves and their lives

My treatment methods

Eclectic

My approach to therapy is integrative and individualized. I draw from attachment-based therapy, EMDR, client-centered therapy, family systems, CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches depending on each client’s unique needs and goals. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, and I work collaboratively with clients to find interventions that feel supportive, effective, and meaningful for them.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach to help clients better understand how early relationships and life experiences may shape current emotional patterns, relationships, and coping strategies. My work focuses on creating a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship where clients can explore underlying wounds, build insight, and develop healthier ways of connecting with themselves and others. I often integrate attachment work with trauma-informed care, EMDR, and other evidence-based approaches depending on each client’s needs.

EMDR

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and use it to help clients process distressing experiences, trauma, anxiety, and negative core beliefs that may feel ‘stuck.’ EMDR can help reduce emotional reactivity and support healthier emotional processing without requiring clients to repeatedly relive painful experiences. I integrate EMDR thoughtfully and collaboratively, ensuring clients feel prepared and supported throughout the process.

Family Therapy

I incorporate family systems concepts to help clients understand relationship dynamics, communication patterns, boundaries, and roles that may impact their emotional well-being. Even in individual therapy, exploring family and relational systems can provide valuable insight into current stressors and recurring patterns. My approach focuses on increasing self-awareness, improving relationships, and fostering healthier interactions.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I take a client-centered approach by meeting clients where they are with empathy, authenticity, and without judgment. I believe therapy works best when clients feel emotionally safe, heard, and respected. My role is to help clients explore their experiences, build self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels supportive and manageable for them.
