Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Most importantly, I bring a relaxed, compassionate, and trustworthy presence, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and supported.

Hi, and welcome. I’m really glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward healing isn’t always easy, and the fact that you’re exploring support says a lot about your strength. Life can throw unexpected challenges our way, and sometimes those challenges make even the day‑to‑day feel overwhelming. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and qualified supervisor in the state of Florida. Since 2014, I’ve worked as a medical social worker in transplant, dialysis, and with individuals managing complex chronic and behavioral health needs. These experiences have taught me the importance of meeting people exactly where they are and honoring their lived experience. If you’re looking for a provider who will work with you to clarify your goals and create meaningful change, I invite you to schedule an initial consultation.

Greetings! I'm Aeron (she/her) and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Master's Certified Addictions Professional, and EMDR Institute Trained Therapist located in FL with 7 years of experience. I am so happy you are here and starting your therapy journey! I specialize in trauma, LGBTQIA++ issues, women's issues, self-esteem, body image/repairing an unhealthy relationship with food, anxiety, and depression. I show up to sessions as my authentic self! This means that I am not a "blank slate" style therapist, and believe it is incredibly vital to healing to discuss all factors contributing to distress, including (but not limited to!) the impact of racial and cultural factors, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, generational and religious trauma, colonization, current political climate, and late-stage capitalism on mental health. No topic is off limits, and I can promise a safe space to explore all facets of your experience.

Hi everyone! 👋 My name is Lea Rojas Otero, and I am originally from Puerto Rico. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I moved to Florida from Nashville but have roots in Mississippi and Virginia. I graduated from the University of Phoenix in April of 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Health Administration. I used that degree to enroll at Capella University where I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in March of 2021. My passion for counseling started when I was very young. In my teenage years I participated in groups that worked to prevent teen suicide. This interest eventually worked its way into my adult life as a career in the mental health field. My first position after graduating with my Masters was assisting individuals whose substance abuse lead to involvement in the criminal justice system. Building on that, I also have experience with Veterans' issues, grief and loss, eating disorders, LGBTQ+, relationships, depression, anxiety, social fears and many other mental health diagnoses. I don’t believe that there is a one size fits all approach to an individual’s mental health. I use a wide range of techniques to best help my clients to achieve the goals they set forth during their time in treatment by developing strategies and coping skills to achieve optimal mental health.

I am a licensed mental health counselor with six years of experience who believes that healing begins with connection. My approach is grounded in authenticity and the cultivation of a genuine therapeutic relationship. I enjoy supporting individuals who are navigating life transitions, experiencing emotional overwhelm, or seeking a deeper connection with themselves, others, or their purpose. Whether you’re feeling stuck, burnt out, or simply ready for change. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with your inner strengths. My person-centered approach blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused techniques to support sustainable, meaningful growth. I see therapy not as a process of “fixing,” but as one of deep understanding, alignment, and empowerment. My style is direct but compassionate. The impact I aim to leave is more than symptom relief; it’s about helping you build resilience, clarity, and confidence that lasts beyond our sessions. I hope that you leave each conversation feeling more grounded, more seen, and more capable of creating the life you want.

If you’ve tried therapy and still feel stuck, the approach may be the problem, not you. Many of my clients have already done “the work,” and talking through their struggles wasn’t enough. They needed a more targeted treatment from the start. If you know your thoughts aren’t rational but can’t stop them, feel trapped by routines you can’t break, are avoiding more of your life to manage anxiety, or have withdrawn and lost motivation, that’s what I treat. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a form of exposure therapy, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), behavioral activation, and Habit Reversal Training. These are structured, evidence-based treatments, and every session is practical, so you leave with tools you can use right away. I work with adults dealing with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in all its forms, including intrusive thoughts, contamination fears, harm and relationship OCD, “Pure O,” and taboo themes that feel shameful or out of character. There’s no thought too disturbing to bring to me. I also treat panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, health anxiety, depression, including depression that hasn’t responded to earlier treatment, skin picking (dermatillomania), hair pulling (trichotillomania), and hoarding disorder. I’m warm and direct. I’ll be honest about what treatment involves, what progress realistically looks like, and whether I’m the right fit. If I’m not, I’ll point you to someone who is. ERP asks you to face things you’ve been avoiding, and I’ll guide you at a pace that works for you. The people who do best with me are done managing symptoms and ready to change them. If that’s where you are, reach out.

Hola! If you are reading this you have stepped out of your comfort zone and are exploring who you can trust with your innermost thoughts and feelings. As a mental health professional, I have seen first-hand the plight of the human condition. Throughout the past 20+ years, I have gained incredible experience & insight that have uniquely prepared me for this work. As a licensed clinical social worker I have served diverse populations well, throughout the New York Tri-State area as well as in Florida's Southwest & Central areas since 2013 in various capacities. From my own curative journey I have borrowed a whole-person approach: mind, body, & soul. There is no "magic pill," or quick fixes when it comes to harnessing sustainable mental wellness. It has been my personal experience that this process can lead to deep restoration from the layers of adversity. Each layer will reveal itself in its own time. This is why therapy will look different for everyone at different stages of life. I would be honored to support you in exploring what hurts, frustrates, confuses, & a host of other emotions that come up when revisiting difficult childhood experiences, losses, grievances, life transitions, & postpartum. As a trauma-informed & trauma-responsive professional, I will hold a non-judgmental space, where you will be patiently supported and spurred on along your therapeutic journey. You will be provided with a safe place where you can explore your thoughts & emotions to manifest a shift in your perspective developing the clarity, growth, peace, & healing you so desire.

I believe therapy is most effective when it feels both supportive and collaborative. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients can process trauma, explore challenges, and build the skills they need to live more fully. I offer psychotherapy, therapeutic assessments, and specialized interventions designed to meet each client’s unique needs. Whether you are navigating life transitions, managing mental health concerns, or seeking greater clarity in your relationships, I aim to help you feel understood and empowered. As I often remind clients, our connection to the world is shaped by the people we engage with. Together, we can build on your existing strengths and experiences to create meaningful change and improve your quality of life. As an athlete, a family man, and a man of faith, I understand the challenges with adjusting to change associated with leaving a sport or career, you love, before you believe your time is up. I understand what it feels like to develop a bond and the challenges with sustaining such bonds. I also understand seeking growth spiritually when there’s so much temptation and triggers that seem to pull me away for my goals. With that, these experiences are what hopefully keep me humble, motivated, and grateful.

I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and empowered. My approach is collaborative, meeting each client where they are while helping them build practical skills to navigate life's challenges. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based interventions. I enjoy helping clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, increase self-awareness, develop healthy coping strategies, and build resilience. Whether clients are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or substance use, I strive to create a space where they feel safe exploring difficult experiences and discovering their strengths. Clients often describe my style as warm, genuine, direct, and encouraging. I balance empathy with accountability, gently challenging unhelpful beliefs while supporting clients in making meaningful and lasting changes. I value authenticity and work to foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. My goal is to help each client gain confidence, improve emotional well-being, and develop the tools needed to create a life that aligns with their values. I believe therapy is not about fixing people, it is about empowering them to recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and move forward with greater clarity and purpose.

Welcome—I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support takes courage, and my goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered from the very beginning. I approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and respect, creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are. I am a trauma-informed mental health counselor who works with adolescents (13+), adults, military personnel, and families. I support clients navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I believe every person carries a unique story shaped by lived experiences, strengths, culture, and resilience. Therapy is not about fixing what’s “wrong,” but about understanding what you’ve been through and reconnecting with the parts of yourself that deserve care and healing. My therapeutic style is warm and grounding, while also structured and intentional. I draw from person- centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral approaches, and evidence-based trauma modalities to help you build emotional regulation skills, deepen self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change. We work together at a pace that honors your comfort and capacity, focusing on what’s working, what’s hurting, and what may need to shift. You don’t have to figure everything out alone. Therapy can be a powerful space to process, grow, and reclaim your voice. If you feel we may be a good fit, I would be honored to support you on your healing journey.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use.
