LCSW, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi, I’m a therapist with 5 years of experience in the mental health field, including time spent working in a women’s correctional facility and supporting adolescents as a school social worker for the past 3 years. These roles have given me deep insight into the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing.
My therapeutic style is simple: I listen first. I believe that therapy is like building a house—without a strong foundation, nothing can stand. My goal is to help you lay that foundation by fostering trust, safety, and clarity as we explore what’s going on in your world.
I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My approach is client-centered, meaning your voice and your goals lead the way. I incorporate evidence-based tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to help you manage challenges, reframe negative thinking, and move toward a more fulfilling life—on your terms. Wherever you are in your journey, know that you're not alone. Let's build something strong together.
My ideal client is some who is willing to do the work. Therapy is about be willing to step out and make a decision to work on yourself. A house is not built over night, I do not expect perfection, but what i do prefer is team work. I would like to work with you as partners in your journey.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a proven method that helps treat different mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and PTSD. As we address your mental health concerns I'll explain how CBT works. This includes understanding that thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected. Knowing this helps you see why certain exercises and tasks are helpful. I’ll ask questions to understand your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. We’ll talk about your history, current situation, and what specific problems you want to work on. We will work together to identify any negative or unhelpful thoughts you have, and I’ll help you learn how to challenge and change them.
