2 years of experience

My name is Rebekah Phillips, and I am a licensed therapist with 13 years of clinical experience including acute, residential, and outpatient settings. I am passionate about helping individuals learn to love themselves, connect better with others and develop skills that support a healthy balanced lifestyle and achieve greater life satisfaction. Using a combination of video or audio-based sessions alongside tasks you complete between sessions, I will offer you a safe space to be heard, understood, and accepted. I provide a listening ear, an objective perspective, and the opportunity to acquire new skills & insights. We will work together to ensure you are able to share your story, gain insight & clarity and thereby accomplish those goals that previously eluded you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session, you can expect to feel heard, understood and accepted. It is important that you understand during this first session I will ask questions about the issues that led you to seek therapy in addition to others that help me begin to hear your whole story, focusing on who your are, how you became you, and who you want to be.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I work with my clients assigning a variety of mediums such as books, articles, videos, and more, to teach skills and enhance understanding of concepts we discuss. I will typically provide you with an assignment to continue your exploration of what we talk about, and you will provide me with feedback about your perceptions and experiences. Together, we will work to help you becoome more familiar with yourself and others, thereby enabling you to feel more comfortable navigating life's complexities. Therapies and techniques I use to accomplish this include: Acceptance and commitment therapy, Narrative therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My therapeutic passions included walking with others as they begin and expand on the process of better loving themselves and others, healing from trauma, and learning to become curious enough to be fulfilled, successful and useful in a safe and healthy way that impacts everyone encountered.
