My name is Rebekah Phillips, and I am a licensed therapist with 13 years of clinical experience including acute, residential, and outpatient settings. I am passionate about helping individuals learn to love themselves, connect better with others and develop skills that support a healthy balanced lifestyle and achieve greater life satisfaction. Using a combination of video or audio-based sessions alongside tasks you complete between sessions, I will offer you a safe space to be heard, understood, and accepted. I provide a listening ear, validation, and an objective perspective. Our therapy sessions will be a safe space and an opportunity to acquire new skills & insights. We will work together to ensure you are able to share your story, gain insight & clarity and thereby accomplish those goals that previously eluded you.
In your first session, you can expect to feel heard, understood and accepted. It is important that you understand during this first session I will ask questions about the issues that led you to seek therapy in addition to others that help me begin to understand your whole story, focusing on who your are, how you became you, and who you want to be.
My therapeutic passions included walking with others as they begin and expand on the process of better loving themselves and others, healing from trauma, and learning to become curious enough to be fulfilled, successful and useful in a safe and healthy way that impacts everyone encountered.
Are you struggling with negative emotions that you can't shake? Do you have relationship or behavior patterns that you have tried to change, and despite your efforts, you continue to repeat them? If you said yes to either of these questions, I want you to know you are not alone and I am looking forward to working together with you as you reach for and accomplish your goals.
Using a variety of evidenced based approaches, I work with clients to meet them where they are, providing a listening ear, a safe space for reflection, as well as discussion and resources to enhance understanding and skills, with the aim of better managing life stressors, symptom reduction, and relational improvements.
