(she/her)
Jennifer Valera, LCSW I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality therapy in a professional, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to offer a space where you feel safe, respected, and taken seriously from the start. I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach, working closely with clients to understand their concerns and develop clear, meaningful goals for treatment. Therapy with me is intentional and tailored—I draw from evidence-based approaches to meet your unique needs while honoring your values, culture, and lived experience. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship challenges, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions, grief and loss, ADHD, anger management, and family conflict. I also have experience providing substance use counseling for adults. I earned both my undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Outside of my work, I value time with my family—especially my niece and nephew. I enjoy yoga, documentaries, true crime, movies, a good cup of coffee, and the occasional well-earned moment of rest.
In our first session, we will take time to understand what brings you to therapy, discuss your concerns, and clarify your goals for treatment. This session is focused on creating a clear direction for our work together while ensuring you feel supported and understood.
My greatest strength is creating a warm, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and openly exploring their concerns.
My ideal client is someone who is motivated, open to self-reflection, and ready to actively engage in the therapeutic process.
