Do you feel at times misunderstood, unheard, or there is something stopping you and you can't put a pin on it? I love to empower clients through difficult times by providing them support, guidance, and developing skills to accomplish their goals and not let mental health become a limitation. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, and helping individuals better manage the symptoms that may be affecting their everyday life. I have worked in community based therapy and private practice. I've worked with individuals as young as 13, as well as families and adults, and I have specialized training in MATCH for children under 18 experiencing anxiety and depression. I have also training and experience utilizing Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). During our session, I provide psycho-education on symptoms, help clients understand patterns to their thoughts/ behaviors, provide resources to clients to continue progress out of session, and strategies and coping skills in which client can implement on a daily basis to better their quality of life. It is important to learn and develop the skills that will help us manage different symptoms in difficult situation to overcome obstacles. I understand emotions can sometimes feel overwhelming or even scary, and that experiences from the past can continue to impact how we feel, think, and navigate life in the present.
In the first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive environment where we focused on building rapport and getting to know each other. I'll ask questions about what brought them to therapy, their current concerns, and some background information to help me understand their experiences. We'll talk about goals for therapy, answer any questions they have, and discuss what they can expect from the process moving forward. It's a collaborative, low-pressure space designed to help clients feel comfortable and understood from the start.
I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Anger Management. The importance of understanding your emotions and the reaction of your emotions, its crucial to developing self- awareness of your actions, thoughts, feelings, and thought about self. I want clients to know they have control and learn how to gain control. Mental Health should not limit us from living our best life and establishing new relationships.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are navigating challenges realted to anxiety, depressions, anger management, trauma, and life transitions. I work well with individuals who are ready to explore their emotions, gain insight into patterns, and develop practical strategies for change. My approach is especially affective for those seeking a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

In my individual sessions, I frequently utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to help individuals identify, challenge, and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. My approach focuses on increasing client's awareness of the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I guide clients through structured interventions such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and thought records to promote insight and long-term change.
I also utilize Mindfulness- Based Therapy techniques to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness and develop a nonjudgemental attitude towards their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. I provide techniques that will help client practice grounding, mindful breathing, body scans, and guided imagery, to increase their capacity for emotional regulation and reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression.
In sessions with client who have experienced trauma, I utilize Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to provide a structured and supportive approach to healing. I help clients process traumatic experiences by integrating spycheducation, relaxation skills, affective modulation, and cognitive coping strategies. TF-CBT allowed clients to gradually confront and reframe trauma- related thoughts, while also developing healthier beliefs about themselves and their world.
My approach is rooted in person-centered, where I believe you are the expert on your own life and experiences. I provide a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. Together, we'll explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you, while building self-awareness, confidence, and the tools needed to create meaningful and lasting change.
I use narrative therapy to help you explore the stories and beliefs you developed about yourself and your life experiences. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patters, recognize your strengths and values, and work toward creating a more empowering perspective that supports meaningful change.
