I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-QS) with over 10 years of experience helping teens and adults feel more grounded, confident, and empowered. Originally from New York and rooted in Caribbean culture, I've lived in Central Florida for several years and proudly serve clients across this community through different walks of life. My approach is honest, collaborative, and a little lighthearted when it fits. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation, not a clinical checklist. I’ll meet you where you are, help you recognize what’s already working, and support you in building the changes you want to see. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), DBT skills, and trauma-informed care into a style that’s relatable, supportive, and focused on progress, not perfection. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, identity questions, or just trying to keep it together (when you feel everything is falling apart). I’m here to walk alongside you, judgment-free.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, you can expect a relaxed, supportive conversation where we start getting to know each other. I’ll ask about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and any past experiences with mental health. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out this is a space for you to feel heard, seen, and comfortable. My goal is to understand your needs and begin building a connection that feels safe, real, and helpful from the very start.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths lie in creating a safe, down-to-earth space where clients feel truly seen and supported. I bring a balanced mix of empathy, directness, and humor to therapy, helping clients feel comfortable while still being gently challenged. I’m not afraid to call out contradictions or hold clients accountable when it supports their growth, but always with respect and care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

An ideal clients are open to change, receptive to feedback, and willing to explore their mental health needs with honesty and curiosity. They may not have all the answers, but they’re motivated to grow, reflect, and try new approaches. I work best with individuals who are flexible, insightful, and ready to actively engage in the therapeutic process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a structured, evidence-based approach to support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and related concerns. I help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, increase awareness of the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and build practical coping skills. Sessions will include collaborative agenda setting, psychoeducation, and skill-building, with homework assignments to reinforce learning between sessions. I use tools such as thought records, behavioral activation plans, and cognitive restructuring exercises, tailoring interventions to meet each client’s specific needs. My goal is to empower clients with strategies they can use both inside and outside of therapy to promote lasting change and emotional well-being.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy, it's one of my favorite modalities to use, especially in high-stress settings like child welfare, inpatient psych, medical social work, and corrections. I've seen how focusing on a person’s strengths and small wins can restore hope and create momentum, even in crisis. Whether I was helping families stabilize in child welfare or guiding patients through medical or psychiatric challenges, SFT allowed me and patient clients to shift perspective from to shift to “what’s wrong” to “what’s possible.” It’s a empowering approach that allow me to help clients gain more control over their lives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients navigate overwhelming emotions, improve relationships, and respond to stress appropriately. Many clients I've work with struggle with impulsivity, emotional regulation, or intense reaction. Utilizing and incorporating DBT provides tools to slow down, reflect, and respond with more intention.
