I've been blessed to have wonderful professional positions throughout my career (see roderickhaferphd.com). Most recently I was Vice-Chair of the Psychiatry Department at the University of Wisconsin. I enjoy working with all client presentations and believe that the "connection" with those I treat is critical to therapy success. I think a 15 to 30 minute free consultation would be the best approach to determine "our fit" in working together.

Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to a wide array of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and/or self-care, just to name a few. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker based in Miami, Florida. I earned my graduate degree from Florida International University in 2010 and have been licensed since 2016. My career began at Banyan Health Systems (formerly Miami Behavioral), where I worked as an adult mental health case manager back in 2004. After gaining my Masters degree, I continued to work for Banyan as a Child outpatient therapist and intake specialist. As a mother of three, I am deeply committed to family and believe that "family over everything" is the foundation of my personal and professional life. My name is Oswaldo “Oz” Castro, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience supporting individuals across a wide range of needs and life stages. My passion as a therapist is helping people find hope, healing, and practical tools to move forward. I began my career in neurofeedback, spending 7 years working with children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, autism, sleep difficulties, anxiety, depression, and other neurodivergent experiences. I later gained 5 years of experience at a drug rehabilitation facility, supporting individuals on their recovery journey from substance use. From there, I spent 2 years at a survivor’s center, helping individuals heal from domestic violence, violent crimes, and grief. During this time, I also worked closely with the LGBTQIA+ community, including facilitating groups for individuals of the trans experience. I also worked for 5 years with children and adolescents transitioning out of a Baker Act and receiving sometimes getting into therapy for the first time, which gave me extensive experience in crisis intervention, family systems, and the importance of providing stability and hope during vulnerable times. Most recently, for the past 3 years, I have been serving clients through the Grow Therapy, where I’ve had the privilege of reaching individuals who previously struggled to access care or find a therapeutic connection locally. This work has strengthened my belief that therapy should be accessible, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique story. If you’re seeking a therapist who will meet you with empathy, understanding, and practical support, I would be honored to work alongside you. Together, we can create a path toward the goals and growth you want for yourself.

I have been practicing mental health counseling since 2004. I have worked with a wide variety of psychological and life issues over the years and have found that the most important part of a successful therapy experience is having an authentic, trusting relationship with my clients. I strive to create a safe and compassionate environment where you can explore and discuss vulnerable topics and feel understood. I’m interested in supporting you through the process of achieving your goals. I view therapy as a process of both healing and development. Life is hard and everyone has sustained emotional or psychological injuries of some kind. These injuries can be limiting because they keep us stuck in unfulfilling patterns of emotions, behaviors, and relationships, and distort our sense of self. As we engage in the process of healing, those negative patterns begin to shift until they no longer fit or make sense. Life becomes more fulfilling as you develop into a more authentic self.

I am a Christian and Afro-Caribbean mom and forever learner. Psychology and healing deeply excite me. I dipped my toe into psychiatry for the first time as a high school student and am still furthering my education in clinical psychology today. I know there is a greater capacity for healing available to individuals who have always looked inward, fist-fought generational patterns, and still feel stuck in a world that says they need 15 more tasks completed by yesterday. I work to be a safe resting place for people who have moved from therapist to therapist, searching for someone who will truly see them for who they are rather than who the world has tried to mold them into. I desire to fill the Keturah-sized space in that wellness gap. I enjoy working side-by-side with clients to explore areas of possibility, rest, healing, and growth, and then provide the tools to make these things possible.

My name is Shavone Marie Williams-Moss, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I entered the field of social work largely because of my family background; I was raised by a single father while my mother struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues and could not perform her role as a parent. One day as an adult in my 20's, I saw my mother sitting on a bench on the main street in Kentucky. I welcomed her into my home only to discover she not only suffered from homelessness but bipolar disorder, major depression, and substance abuse. My mother lived with me for a year, after which she passed away. This situation made me wonder, what if, in her younger years, she would have met someone who was supportive, understanding, kind, selfless, and invested in helping her be the best version of her, she could be. It was then that I decided to enter the Social Work Field. I wanted to provide help to those who could not help themselves and aid to those in need.

Our life path is full of ups and downs with unexpected twists and turns. We learn to develop a way of coping whether it is a positive or negative method to help deal with stressors or adapt to change. However, the majority of the time, we fall back on what we are accustomed to when dealing with a stressful situation or unexpected change; such as becoming confused, frustrated, emotional, withdrawing, angry, combative, or ignoring the situation and hoping the situation will just magically disappear or be resolved. Sometimes we need assistance to develop positive coping skills to deal with an unexpected changes or stressful situations. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to overcome numerous challenges. Besides treating many mental health conditions, I have specialized training in treating anxiety, career, conflict, depression, grief, self-esteem, anger management, behavior issues, stress, trauma, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorder. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focus Brief Therapy, and Strength-based therapy. I encourage collaboration from you when designing a treatment plan to ensure it is implemented properly and to increase the potential for a successful outcome. Your well-being is my priority, and I am looking forward to helping you meet your goal.

Have you been through a lot? Life experiences can really mark us, in good ways and not so good ways. The not-so good ways might keep us feeling down and unable to function the way we'd like. We need to have someone listen to us and appreciate the very real pain we feel! We need to unburden ourselves and re-create hope. I like to use a gentle, caring, non-judgmental and creative approach utilizing modalities such as ACT, CBT, ART and therapeutic art. I can also facilitate coaching sessions, using goal setting, visualization and sensory techniques to help you achieve a new you, whether personally or professionally.

Do you feel overwhelmed and exhausted at times from the demands in your life? Are you finding it hard to have a healthy work/life balance? Do you struggle to enforce boundaries? Are you consumed by your emotions? There's no need to continue to fight these battles alone when I can help! Individual therapy can help with many of these real life situations and more. Seeking therapy can be a big decision in life and I’m glad you are considering this commitment. I currently work full-time at the Department of Veterans Affairs and recently came back to my private practice part-time. With over 27 years of experience, I’ve helped thousands of individuals just like yourself with anxiety, depression, stress management, anger, grief, and compassion fatigue to name a few. Studies have shown evidenced based therapy such as CBT and CPT are proven to help decrease symptoms in disorders such as anxiety, depression, trauma, anger management, stress management, insomnia, and many more. Together, we will identify what wasn’t working for you, assess your commitment to therapy, and develop obtainable goals that will help you be your best self. I will give you tools that you can continue to use for a lifetime. And hopefully you will no longer need therapy but can rely on what you learned through therapy to help you, should you encounter a bump along this thing called "life". You can book a session with me by contacting Grow Therapy. I look forward to working with you! I have several evening appointments available or Sunday afternoons.
