Strengths
Seeking wise counsel is a powerful act of care for yourself. Establishing confidentiality through exploring your needs through collaborative questions will permit a successful first session rapport. You will be welcomed knowing you are in a safe place with intentions of returning to do the work towards your mental health healing journey. Dr. Moiforay’s understanding of cultural and personal developmental occurrences and ability to effectively integrate public and behavioral health interventions from a holistic point of view has guided Dr. Moiforay when counseling individuals and addressing interpersonal community systems and it affects intrapersonally. I use active listening to understand, not just to respond. Open-ended questions to elaborate on your experiences. Expressing needs clearly and respectfully. Empathy and validation to acknowledge your feelings with compassion. Always administering culture competency for a positive experience. I also do not mind integrating Christian core values within therapeutic counseling sessions if that is the client's autonomous choice.

Treatment methods
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Dr. Moiforay utilizes a person-centered approach because of his belief in autonomy, which is one of the five core ethical principles in counseling. This treatment style permits clients towards capacity for healing, self-understanding, and personal growth while also navigating other treatment methods which suites the client’s needs. Person-centered approach empowers individuals and fosters self-directed growth by trusting people knowledge yet not negating self-pace and personal self-solution through an equal partnership within a safe environment. As the optimum goals for the client are self-trust and having the confidence in making life decisions. The use of these objectives is integrated in my practice by using active listening so that active informed choices are allowed. Person centered approach also allows and supports the client in using other treatments or combining modalities in therapy sessions for a greater robust holistic practice. Dr. Moiforay can incorporate other structured and unstructured treatment methods such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Based Therapy, (CBT), Faith Based Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Culturally Responsive Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family System Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Expressive Therapy and Strength Therapy to name a few.
