New to Grow
Hi! My name is Rosemary Farrell and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I have been a social worker for over 20 years, and became a clinical social worker in order to work with children in individual and group counseling. I see myself as approachable, affirming, and responsive to clients' and families' needs. When we work together, great things can happen!
I ask a lot of questions in our first session to get to know you and understand your needs and how we can best work together. I do my best to create a safe, welcoming space for clients to open up about their struggles and how we can partner to improve your circumstances.
I see my role as a partner in helping you and/or your child navigate life, strengthen connections, and improve communication, whether due to school issues, family life, anxiety, ADHD, or something else. I have experience with many therapeutic approaches, and I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I work with children, teens, and families to support them as a family and strengthen their connections with each other. I see children and teens for individual counseling, group counseling, and also provide family counseling. Growing up is hard and so is parenting! We all have times when we could use extra support. I specialize in blended families and co-parenting support for all types of families.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps clients understand the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Understanding these connections helps us work together to challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that are often holding us back.
Family Therapy
I work with families to support them in strengthening their connections through family therapy. Connection and communication go hand in hand, and working on these areas helps all members of the family work better together.
