Hello, I’m Cruz Rodriguez a License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I'm a bilingual clinician with specialized training in various therapeutic modalities, whom has master degrees in social work from Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work and in Applied Behavior Analysis from ABA España. I have provided therapy to adults impacted adversely by anxiety, depression, maladaptive behaviors, severe mental illness, substance abuse, and/or family conflicts. My therapeutic style is person-centered and cognitive-behavioral, providing a non-judgmental environment where you could feel free to explore the issues impacting your existence. It’s through this exploration that I have witness many individuals become empowered by acquiring coping mechanism that allows them to improve their wellbeing and achieve goals in life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the initial sessions we will explore the purpose of you seeking therapy. Subsequently, I will assess clinically what seems to be impacting you and establish treatment goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

The treatment modalities that I mostly use during the sessions are Client-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic. Periodically, I will request that you complete a PHQ-9 Depression Assessment and GAD-7 forms to monitor your mood and treatment outcomes on your well being.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths include providing a non-judgmental environment where you could feel free to be yourself and explore the issues impacting you. Implementing client-centered techniques aiming at increasing your insight concerning how you could engage in problem solving to solve the issues impacting you. Throughout the sessions I will skillfully implement cognitive-behavioral techniques. That will be aiming at increasing your insight concerning how cognitive processes and behaviors are adversarially inhibiting you from thriving.
