LCSW, 17 years of experience
Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida who works with young adults navigating their transitions into adulthood, adults struggling to balance her work and family life, and older adults helping them find meaning in their lives. I think therapy works best when it feels like you're talking to someone who's on your team—someone who gets where you're coming from, isn't afraid to ask the tough questions, and helps you figure out what actually works for you in real life. My approach is personalized- I meet you where you are and tailor our work to support your unique goals. For young adults, we work on finding ways to manage stress and work on improving relationships. In working with adults, treatment can be focused on managing anxiety, navigating difficult transitions in life, and improving relationships. For elderly adults, we can focus on finding meaning in life, working through family issues, and building a stronger support network. My goal is to create a strong foundation for our work together and help you feel comfortable and ready to begin your journey toward greater well-being.
During your first session with me, you’ll find a supportive and welcoming space where we can get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you’re facing, and your goals for counseling. To better understand your unique situation, I’ll also ask about your personal history and any relevant background information. We’ll review important details like confidentiality, how sessions are structured, and the therapeutic approach I use in treatment. This initial meeting is also your opportunity to ask questions and share any concerns you may have. After the initial session, our work will focus on exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and nonjudgmental space. Together, we will identify patterns that may be holding you back and develop personalized strategies to help you overcome challenges. Therapy is a collaborative process—I’ll support you in building skills and insights that empower you to make meaningful changes. Sessions typically involve setting and reviewing goals, practicing new coping tools, and reflecting on your progress.
With over 17 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of individuals from diverse backgrounds who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and severe mental illness. What truly distinguishes my approach is the combination of evidence-based therapeutic methods, a trauma-informed lens, and a genuine commitment to tailoring treatment to each person’s unique story and goals. Therapy is deeply personal, and I believe the foundation of effective treatment lies in building a trusting, supportive relationship. Clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their future. My role is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where they feel heard, understood, and empowered. I prioritize meeting each individual where they are emotionally and psychologically, recognizing that every person’s experience is unique and that healing does not follow a one-size-fits-all path. My approach is collaborative. I work alongside clients as partners, helping them clarify their goals and develop a roadmap for growth. This collaboration fosters a sense of agency and ownership over the therapeutic process, which research shows is critical for sustained progress.
I’m a good fit for individuals who are open to trying new perspectives and ways of handling life’s challenges. Many of the people I work with are navigating depression, anxiety, stress, or feeling stuck. Others are in the middle of big life transitions—starting college, switching careers, becoming parents, or adjusting to an empty nest. Some are just curious about how therapy might help them feel more grounded and fulfilled. If you’re looking for a therapist who can meet you where you are and support you as a whole person, I’d be glad to walk alongside you. ***Clients Not Appropriate for Telehealth Services*** While telehealth is an effective and convenient modality for many clients, it is not clinically appropriate for all individuals. The following criteria may indicate that telehealth is not suitable: 1. Recent Psychiatric Hospitalization or Active Safety Concerns- Clients who have been hospitalized for psychiatric reasons within the past three months, or those experiencing active or ongoing thoughts of suicide with intent or plan, are not appropriate for telehealth services. These clients may require a higher level of care and more direct monitoring than can be provided remotely. 2. Clients who cannot secure a private and distraction- free space for sessions—particularly those living in unsafe or unstable environments (e.g., domestic violence situations)—may not be appropriate for telehealth, due to risks to their emotional and physical safety. 3. Limited Access to or Comfort with Technology- Clients who lack reliable internet access, a secure device, or the ability to navigate basic technology may be unable to participate effectively in telehealth services. 4. Difficulty Engaging in a Virtual Format- Some clients may struggle to form a therapeutic connection or engage meaningfully in sessions conducted virtually. This may include individuals with certain trauma-related symptoms, severe dissociation, or communication barriers that limit effective participation. 5. Clinical or Legal Requirements for In-Person Care- Clients involved with legal system are not appropriate. Certain services or assessments may require in-person interaction based on clinical standards, ethical guidelines, or legal regulations (e.g., court-ordered treatment, substance use monitoring, or diagnostic assessments requiring in-person observation). 6. Severe Cognitive or Sensory Impairments- Clients with significant cognitive deficits, or hearing/visual impairments that interfere with communication. Note: All clients are assessed individually to determine clinical appropriateness for telehealth. If telehealth is not suitable, in-person services or referrals to a higher level of care will be discussed and facilitated as needed.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is useful to help individuals better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is a practical, evidence-based approach that empowers clients to identify and shift negative or anxious thinking patterns. These patterns can significantly impact stress levels and interfere with daily life—whether at home, at work, or in social situations. Together, we work on developing healthier thought processes and coping strategies that support lasting change and improved well-being.
I have used Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) for many years. This treatment method helps clients focus on their strengths and the future they want to create—rather than staying stuck in problems from the past. SFBT is a collaborative, goal-directed approach that supports meaningful change by identifying what’s already working and building on it. This method is effective for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and navigating life transitions.
The humanistic treatment method focuses on an individual's inherent drive towards self-actualization and emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and the therapeutic relationship. I use humanistic techniques such as person-centered therapy and existential therapy to help clients explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in a non-judgmental and supportive environment. This approach is particularly effective for clients seeking personal growth, self-discovery, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences.

Experience brought me to the provider. She was very open and warm but also direct and solution oriented in her approach to help me figure out if what she could provide would be a good fit. She allowed me to ask questions honestly and I felt that I could do so without feeling hesitant or at the risk of offending her. Overall a great experience and great practice with being able to make a decision in a systematic way as opposed to solely based on how it felt. Would recommend😌
