I have completed extensive trainings in different therapeutic models to include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution focus care. In my practice, I tend to use different treatment models tailor to your needs to help improve your overall health and functioning.
I love working with clients that are ready and willing to do the work needed to make changes in their lives. They often feel stuck in life, overwhelmed with their problems, and need better tools to cope.
Clinician with training from the Beck Institute to use CBT to treat anxiety, depression, grief, sleep, and mood disorders.
Over 15 years of using mindfulness based therapy used to help clients utilize meditation, relaxation, and awareness exercises to help my clients to stay focus on the present moment, allowing them to experience daily situations and stressors with a non-judgmental and accepting attitude, rather than reacting impulsively.
I integrate strength-based therapy in my sessions to help clients focus on their internal strengths and resourcefulness. Strength based counseling helps to focus on client's best qualities, finding their strengths, improving resilience, and changing their worldview to one that is more positive. The main reason to discuss a client's problems is to discover their inner strengths in order to build solutions.
