New to Grow
Hi! I'm a licensed psychotherapist exploring trauma, meaning, and personhood with my brave and honest guests. I'm so honored to be here with you. I’m jumping in from my home state of Alabama, where I’ve been working in clinics, schools, and churches for the past decade. Therapy has been a helpful place for me personally to detail abuse, say embarrassing things out loud, and finally declare peace with myself.
We'll get comfortable with one another and set a clear goal for our meetings. I want this to be very genuinely helpful for you. Thank you for giving me a piece of your time.
Through trauma-informed narrative therapy, I aim to hold a broad and open space for you to share your story. I keep an eye on patterns and meaning along the way.
My first master’s was in religion, so spirituality is often a topic of conversation in my sessions with clients. However, my primary work is in trauma, personhood, and meaning, where I work with guests to explore their stories. Reduction of shame in the light of empathetic witness relieves symptoms of anxiety, depression, and existential dread. I love this work and the broad array of people who come with all their bravery to try it.
Existential
In existential therapy, we believe that meaning is important for humans. Someone with a “why” can navigated most any “how.”
Christian Counseling
When a client expresses that Christian faith is important to them, I am able to draw upon a decade of ministry experience and a Master of Divinity degree in order to offer a more integrative experience in therapy.
Narrative
Telling and owning your own story is enormously healing in the presence of an empathetic witness.
