(she/her)
I founded In Between Counseling because I understand firsthand how overwhelming life’s transitions can be, whether you are navigating college, stepping into adulthood, or trying to find yourself amid the chaos of work, relationships, and parenthood. I specialize in helping adults manage stress, anxiety, and depression, and I guide clients through the messy, complicated moments with a blend of empathy, humor, and honest, straightforward support. My goal is to offer a safe and genuine space where you feel heard, understood, and equipped to move forward, no matter where you are on your journey.
In our first session, we will talk about what is bringing you in, explore your goals, and set the tone for a collaborative, judgment free space where you can feel heard and supported.
I blend clinical expertise with genuine connection, creating a space where clients feel safe as they work through real-life struggles. My strength lies in meeting clients exactly where they are, offering practical tools, insight, and a sense of humor to support meaningful change and self-discovery.
I am best positioned to serve adults who feel “in between” phases of life and are trying to make sense of who they are and where they are going. I work well with clients who are navigating transitions such as college, early career, parenthood, divorce, or major relationship changes and who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or burned out in the process. I tend to be a good fit for people who: Are dealing with stress, anxiety, or depression related to daily life, roles, and expectations Want both empathy and honesty, and appreciate a mix of warmth, humor, and straightforward feedback Are ready (or at least curious) about looking at patterns from their past, family dynamics, and beliefs about themselves Value practical tools they can use between sessions, not just insight or “talking about it” Want to feel less alone in the “messy middle” and more grounded in who they are My ideal clients are not expected to have everything figured out; they may feel ambivalent, exhausted, or unsure where to start. As long as there is a willingness to show up as they are and be open to exploring change, I am well equipped to walk alongside them.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have over 20 years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to empower clients to understand the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through CBT, I provide practical tools that help challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and foster healthier coping strategies. In our sessions, I support clients in identifying “stuck points,” reframing negative thoughts, and taking small, manageable steps toward lasting, meaningful change in their daily lives. My goal is to make each session both collaborative and actionable, helping clients develop greater insight and resilience as they navigate life’s challenges.
EMDR
I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with clients who are coping with trauma, anxiety, or distressing life experiences that continue to affect their well-being. As a trained EMDR practitioner, I guide clients through this structured process to help the brain effectively process and release stuck emotional memories. EMDR is a powerful approach that promotes healing without requiring clients to revisit every detail of their past. Many clients report feeling lighter, more in control, and less triggered in their day-to-day lives after EMDR sessions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where meaningful healing can take place.

I’ve had several sessions with Talia now, and I think she’s very open-minded, and not judgmental. She really listens and tries to provide solutions to any problems you might be experiencing
