I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to work with you. And I use that word intentionally — work. Growth, healing, and becoming a strong, healthy, whole person takes courage, commitment, and conviction. "Great things come from hard work and perseverance" (Kobe Bryant). My role is to walk alongside you in that process with clarity, compassion, and purpose. Clients often share that I am intentional, thoughtful, and fully present in our sessions. I do not approach therapy casually. I believe in creating a space that is supportive, structured, safe, and meaningful. My goal is to make the counseling process as clear, seamless, and empowering as possible so you feel both supported and equipped. I bring over twenty years of counseling experience and hold the highest level of licensure in my field. Also, I am a qualified and trained clinical supervisor. I consider this work a sacred honor and privilege. As a husband and father, I understand the importance of responsibility, support, patience, consistency and reliability. I am practical, relational, and deeply compassionate — and I will be attentive to your needs throughout the process.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You can expect intentionality. You can expect honesty. You can expect accountability paired with compassion. You can expect dependable care. I will support you as a valued person and partner in this process. I welcome your questions at any stage of our work together. My commitment is to provide a safe, respectful, and empowering environment where real growth can take place. If you are ready to begin the work, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

This is not a job for me. It's a calling and a sacred privilege to value people through active listening, insightful questions, compassion responses, and a honed skill to meet them where they are and helping and empowering them to believe, become and belong.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The clients I work best with share one important trait: they are ready for change. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, grieving, disconnected, or impacted by trauma — but somewhere inside, they know they don’t want to stay where they are. They are willing to do the work. They understand that growth requires intention, effort, and honesty. My clients tend to be learners. They are open to insight and practical tools. They want to understand why they think, feel, and respond the way they do. They are not just looking for temporary relief — they want skills they can carry with them for life. They value accountability paired with compassion. They are willing to look inward, speak truthfully, and practice new strategies outside of session. Whether in individual, couples, trauma-focused, faith-based, or grief work, they are seeking sustainable progress — not quick fixes. The are looking for more than an "a-ha" moment ... a light bulb shift in their action resulting a higher quality of living and life. Ultimately, my client is someone who wants not just to feel better — but to become stronger, healthier, more responsible, cooperative, complementary, productive, and whole. And they are willing to do the work to sustain that growth long after our sessions end and know that I will cheer them on with every step.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We will work together to better understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Often, when we’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or discouraged, it’s not just the situation itself — it’s the meaning we’ve attached to it. In our work together, I’ll help you identify patterns that may no longer be serving you and build practical tools to respond in ways that feel healthier and more empowering. CBT is very collaborative and skill-based. You’ll gain strategies you can use outside of sessions so you feel more confident navigating challenges on your own. This approach honors your strengths and resilience while helping you create meaningful, lasting change. This is a very goal-oriented approach that helps clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. This approach is effective for concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, sleep issues, ongoing conflictual relationships, and life transitions.

Couples Counseling

Relationships can be one of our greatest sources of strength — and sometimes our greatest stress. In couples counseling, I provide a supportive and balanced space where both partners feel heard, respected, and valued. Together, we’ll explore communication patterns, emotional triggers, and unmet needs with curiosity rather than blame. My role is not to take sides, but to help you better understand one another and reconnect in ways that feel safe and fulfilling. The goal is to strengthen the foundation of your relationship, build healthier ways to manage conflict, and help you both feel more secure, understood, and supported. Through practical exercises, couples with progressively improve communication, strengthen emotional bond, resolve conflicts, and experience greater satisfaction. Overall, my aim is to help equip couples better understand one another, strengthen their partnership, and create more fulfilling, satisfying, and supportive relationships.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am very compassionate and supportive. I consider it an honor to use evidence-based treatment approach designed to help individuals process and recover from traumatic events and experiences. Trauma can deeply affect how we see ourselves, others, and the world. In Trauma-Focused CPT, we gently, safely, and respectfully explore how past experiences may still be influencing your thoughts and emotions today. Together, we’ll identify beliefs that may have developed after the trauma — especially those connected to guilt, shame, safety, trust, or control — and work to reshape them in ways that restore your sense of strength and purposeful action. Additionally, I strive to help clients to develop a more balanced and clear understanding of their experiences and in building safe relationships and self-respective boundaries. This approach is structured but very compassionate. You remain in control of the pace. The goal is not to relive trauma, but to help you reclaim your narrative, rebuild confidence, and move forward with greater clarity and empowerment.

Faith based therapy

For clients who desire it, faith can be a powerful source of comfort, identity, and resilience. In faith-based therapy, we integrate your spiritual or religious beliefs into the counseling process in a way that feels authentic and supportive to you. This might include reflection on spiritual values, prayer, Scripture, or exploring how your faith informs your coping and decision-making. Your beliefs are never imposed — they are honored and incorporated only if meaningful to you. By aligning emotional healing with your spiritual foundation, we strengthen both your mental health and your sense of purpose.

Grief Therapy

Grief is deeply personal and cumulative — and also profoundly shaped by culture, family traditions, and spiritual beliefs. There is no “right” way to grieve. In grief therapy, I provide a compassionate space where your loss is honored without judgment or timeline. Together, we explore not only the pain of the loss, but also the meaning of the relationship, the cultural traditions that shape your mourning process, and the ways grief shows up in your daily life. I approach grief with cultural humility, recognizing that rituals, expressions of emotion, family roles, and spiritual practices vary widely across communities. Rather than “moving on,” our work focuses on integrating the loss in a way that allows you to continue living with purpose and connection. We identify your strengths, coping resources, and support systems so you feel supported while navigating this deeply human experience.
