I once told a friend that finding the "right" therapist (one that they would mesh well with) is similar to dating; it can be slightly uncomfortable until they find the right fit. Because I understand that seeking assistance to address individual, couple, or family issues is a deeply personal & brave process, I provide a compassionate and trusting environment to all my clients. I believe that therapy is a goal-directed, collaborative process between therapist and client(s). I can assist in helping you identify needs/goals, processing unresolved feelings/experiences, & successfully reaching your established goals in a timely manner. I enjoy and have years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, & groups, helping them improve their quality of life as well as strengthen their relationships. I am most experienced in the areas of Anxiety, Depression, Mental Health, Personal Relationships, and Substance Use Disorder. I've had the opportunity provide therapy in an array of settings, including a community mental health center and an intensive outpatient substance use disorder facility, and private practice.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in practice for 24 years. I have worked with all ages of clients and enjoy working with people to help them realize that we are all dealing with something and sometimes we need help from another to gain a different perspective, especially when overwhelming situations arise. I believe that what we think affects what we do. When we apply this with mindfulness, we can begin to see how our thoughts affect our emotions, physical body and behavior. Together, we can come up with a treatment plan that will guide us together to help you approach situations you are dealing with in a different way.

My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well. I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons. With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia. I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.

As a licensed clinical social worker in Mississippi and Alabama, I have a passion for helping individuals of all backgrounds and populations reach their full potential. With a strength-based approach, I focus on meeting my clients where they are, creating a safe and comfortable environment for them to explore their goals. I specialize in helping clients identify their unique strengths, often uncovering qualities they may not have realized were sources of resilience. By combining motivational interviewing with cognitive structuring exercises, I support clients in challenging negative thought patterns and building on their innate abilities to overcome obstacles. Through this collaborative process, I find joy in watching clients gain confidence and move toward achieving their life goals. Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters from the University West Florida and have been practicing for 14 years. I have served individuals in an outpatient and residential setting. I prefer to provide services in an outpatient setting as it allows me the opportunity to observe the growth of my patients over time. I help adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and other challenges to live the life they deserve.
