LPC, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi, I’m glad you’re here. For the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and other struggles. I know how heavy life can feel sometimes, and my passion is to create a safe, encouraging space where you can find support and hope. My heart is to help you uncover your strengths, build healthy tools, and take steps toward the life you want. Healing is possible, and I’d be honored to be part of your journey.
In our first session, my goal is to get to know you, hear your story, and make sure you feel comfortable. We’ll focus on building a connection and seeing if we’re a good fit to work together. With five years of experience helping clients who have faced trauma, depression, anxiety, and other challenges, I bring a compassionate, eclectic approach that blends person-centered care with tools from CBT, EMDR, somatic and polyvagal therapies, and faith-based support if that’s important to you. My heart is to create a safe, encouraging space where you can begin to heal, grow, and move toward the life you want.
What truly stands out in my approach is the compassion I bring to the counseling relationship—I believe healing happens best when you feel genuinely cared for and understood. My goal is to walk with you toward hope, growth, and lasting change.
I am best equipped to serve clients who have experienced trauma, struggle with depression or anxiety, or feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I work well with individuals who are open to exploring the connection between thoughts, emotions, and the body, and who may also value the integration of faith into the healing process. Whether you are seeking tools to manage stress, space to process painful experiences, or guidance in building a more hopeful future, I bring a compassionate and flexible approach to support your journey.
As your counselor, I would use CBT to help you notice the thoughts that might be making you feel stuck or overwhelmed. We would look at how those thoughts affect your feelings and the choices you make, and then practice finding new ways of thinking that are more helpful. Together, we’d work on tools and strategies you can use in everyday life so you feel more in control and better able to handle challenges.
As your counselor, I would use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help you work through painful memories or experiences that still affect you today. We would do this by bringing up those memories in a safe way while using eye movements or other forms of gentle bilateral stimulation. This helps your brain reprocess what happened so the memories feel less overwhelming, and you can move forward without being as weighed down by the past.
As your counselor, I take an eclectic approach, which means I pull from several different types of therapy to best fit your needs. At the core, I use a person-centered style, creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. I may also bring in faith-based perspectives if that’s meaningful to you, as well as techniques from polyvagal and somatic therapies to help calm the nervous system and reconnect the body and mind. By blending these approaches, my goal is to walk alongside you in a way that feels both personal and effective for your healing journey.
