New to Grow
Hi, I’m Miranda! I’m a licensed professional counselor who is passionate about walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges. My approach is person-centered, meaning I believe you are the expert of your own story and my role is to provide support, empathy, and guidance as you work toward your goals. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
In our first session, my main goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to counseling. We’ll talk about your goals, your hopes for therapy, and any concerns you might have. I’ll also explain what the counseling process looks like so you feel comfortable and know what to expect. This first meeting is a chance for us to begin building trust, and there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. Together, we’ll set the foundation for the work we’ll do moving forward.
What stands out about my approach is the emphasis I place on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely understood. I believe that lasting change happens when people feel empowered to explore their own thoughts and emotions.
Many of the people I serve are navigating life transitions, experiencing stress or anxiety related to work or relationships, or wanting to build healthier boundaries and stronger self-esteem. I also enjoy working with clients who want a supportive space to process their feelings and clarify their goals. My approach is collaborative, so whether you’re seeking relief from current struggles or hoping to better understand yourself, I aim to meet you where you are and walk alongside you toward lasting change.
In my practice, I find person-centered therapy to be a natural fit because it allows me to focus on building a genuine relationship with my clients. My experience with this approach has shown me that when clients feel truly heard and accepted, they are more willing to open up and explore their concerns. Instead of directing the session, I let the client set the pace and guide the focus, while I support them with empathy and encouragement. This approach has helped me see clients gain confidence in their ability to make choices and find their own solutions.
