New to Grow
Hi! I am Antonia Hill, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience providing mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. My passion for serving others is driven by my love for God and the belief that the combination of faith and works can lead to greater quality of life. My experience providing therapeutic services has helped individuals and couples to address and overcome issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, career/professional exploration and development, life transition, relational issues, and everyday life stressors. I have extensive training in the treatment modality of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and this, along with the integration of Christian Counseling principles guides my practice
From our very first session, my goal is to create an atmosphere of comfort and support that aids in the development of a positve and effective relationship.
As a mental health professional, I view the individual as the expert of their life and experiences in order to develop an individualized path toward optimal and holistic wellness. I am invested in the mental wellness of others, and I desire to uplift my community and beyond by breaking the stigma of seeking mental health services via the provision of quality and authentic care, access, education, and visibility. In my free time, I can be found serving at church, listening to live music, or relaxing at a coffee shop with a good book!
My ideal client is looking for a therapeutic space where they do not have to choose between their faith and quality mental health care. They want to be heard without judgment, challenged with compassion, and equipped with practical tools for growth. This client is typically a Millennial or older Gen Z adult of color who is high-achieving, purpose-driven, and committed to their Christian faith, yet recognizes that faith and personal strength do not eliminate the need for professional mental health support. They may be successful in their education, career, relationships, ministry, or personal goals while privately experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, grief, self-doubt, life transitions, or the emotional impact of past experiences.
I am extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which can be integrated into Christian counseling by helping clients identify and change unhealthy patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while examining those patterns through the lens of Biblical truth and Christian faith.
I integrate Christian counseling into practice by using evidence-based therapeutic approaches while also incorporating the client’s Christian faith, Biblical principles, and spiritual resources when the client desires this integration. Ultimately, I seek to help clients heal emotionally, develop healthier patterns of thinking and behavior, strengthen their relationship with God, and live in greater alignment with their faith and values, while maintaining appropriate clinical and ethical standards.
