Hi, I'm a Licensed Counselor in the State of Virginia. I have worked with a variety of populations including children, adults with trauma, anxiety and depression. Currently I use primarily a person-centered approach to therapy while also incorporating cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy skills and techniques. I have a master's degree in Psychology, Professional Counseling and Social Work that allows me to utilize a variety of skills set to best serve in the mental health community as my client's need.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will work on building rapport and making sure that you feel as comfortable as possible. My goals is to make sure that we are good fit because therapy works best if you are able t connect and feel comfortable with your therapist. I will take this session to learn about you and your history and identify areas of concern that we'd like to focus on as we move forward, creating a treatment plan and creating goals that we want to achieve.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As your therapist, my goal is always to provide you with a safe and secure environment to work through whatever mental health concerns you may have. I strive to provide validation and place where you feel you're able to be heard and understood without judgement. Additionally, this therapeutic space is meant to feel warm and inviting for ALL individuals, no matter your race, gender (identity, ethnicity, etc.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use primarily a person-centered approach to therapy while also incorporating cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy skills and techniques.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing skills are a great technique in helping you, the client, identify the areas you are struggling with and works to help you identify how you can change the ways you deal or work through them. This technique is meant to allow you the space to establish what works for you through questions and thought processing.
