I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience specializing in trauma-informed care and anxiety-related concerns. I work from a strength-based approach to counseling, grounded in the belief that you already have the capacity to heal and grow. My role is to provide insight, ask thoughtful questions, and create a safe, supportive space where meaningful change can occur. Our work will focus on your goals while building self-awareness and practical skills to shift unhelpful patterns. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right, helping you create a life that feels more balanced, grounded, and aligned.
In our first session together we will start with brief introductions and I'll answer any questions that you have. I will ask you specific challenges that you're currently facing that brought you to counseling, which will be followed by additional questions about your past. Once I have an understanding of you and what challenges you face, we will create your goals for counseling and develop a treatment plan.
Clients often share that what stands out about my approach is the thoughtful, reflective questions I ask and the practical tools they leave session with. Therapy with me is designed to be both insightful and actionable—helping clients gain clarity, increase emotional awareness, and develop skills they can use outside of session. This approach supports meaningful progress, improved coping, healthier relationships, and lasting change over time.
Clients that come to me are generally between the ages of 25 and 55. I see individuals that identify as both male and female. I generally see clients who are motivated and willing to look within themselves and make changes. I like to give homework after each session so clients can do the work in between sessions which is where the real changes began.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With 20 + years of experience using CBT, I help clients break anxiety cycles and challenge negative thoughts. Together, we will map how your thoughts, feelings, and actions interact. By changing these patterns, you can successfully lower your stress and find lasting calm.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
In my practice, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you find balance when emotions feel overwhelming. Together, we will build a toolkit of practical skills for mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and stronger relationships. DBT honors where you are right now while giving you the concrete tools to create meaningful change. My goal is to provide a warm, judgment-free space where you feel deeply understood as you build a life that feels genuinely fulfilling and peaceful.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
In my therapy practice, walking alongside clients as they navigate the heavy burden of OCD and anxiety is deeply sacred work. I know firsthand the immense courage it takes to step toward your deepest fears, and I treat that vulnerability with the utmost gentleness and respect. My role is to be a steady, compassionate anchor—someone who sits with you in the messy, uncomfortable moments without judgment, holding hope when it feels hard to find. There is nothing more beautiful than watching a client move from a place of fear-driven exhaustion to one of open, vibrant freedom. It is an honor to witness my clients rediscover their own resilience, reclaim their autonomy, and step back into a life they truly love.
Mind-body approach
My approach to mind-body therapy centers on the transformative power of mindfulness. Through years of practice, I help clients cultivate present-moment awareness to connect their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. Instead of just analyzing problems, we observe internal experiences with curiosity and compassion to break stress cycles. By integrating mindful breathing and somatic awareness, I guide individuals to quiet the mind, regulate the nervous system, and unlock lasting healing.
