I am so glad you are here! I'm Rachel and I support young adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-doubt to connect with and feel safe in their bodies and minds. I actively seek to recognize your strengths while helping you to foster more self-compassion and kindness in your inner world. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, but rather in meeting you where you are each session and adapting to best meet your present concerns while serving your long-term goals. My person-centered, holistic approach is informed by training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, somatic psychology, attachment theory, self-compassion, mindfulness, breath facilitation, trauma-informed yoga, and play therapy. Clients can expect a warm, compassionate, and empathic space where they will not be judged. I am grateful and humbled to be a part of your journey toward realizing your potential and becoming the best version of yourself. I strongly believe that you already have the capacity to grow, heal, and become the brightest version of yourself within, and I am here to walk alongside you through your current challenges and into a future where you thrive.
In our first session together we will introduce ourselves and spend time getting to know more about you, including current challenges, personal strengths, and other background information.

Because there is so much wisdom and experience stored in our bodies, I will not only ask about the content of your thoughts, but will support you to explore how past and current experiences are being felt in your physical body. I may incorporate breathwork, mindfulness, movement and somatic practices, EMDR, and creative expression into sessions if they align with the focus of our work. Our sessions might focus on... -Deepening your awareness of physical sensations, emotions, and thinking patterns -Safely experiencing a range of emotions and sensations -Expanding your window of tolerance, or ability to experience discomfort and manage stress -Learning and practicing concrete tools to integrate into your life - targeted to your unique needs and challenges -Reclaiming body autonomy and assertiveness in relationships -Connecting with the innate wisdom and strength that are (and have always been) within
I enjoy working with young adults who are eager to grow and move towards a fulfilling, meaningful life. I have experience working with people who have experienced sexual assault and abuse, childhood trauma, and other challenging life events and circumstances. I love meeting with folks who are open to expand their awareness beyond their thoughts to also notice how their bodies respond to their experiences.
