Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) based in California. I have 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with trauma, abuse, coping with grief, coping with loss, anger management, & depression. I also have experience working with coping with life changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. Working together create a plan for treatment to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with Veteran and first responders over the past 3 years I have been able to tailor my approach to each individual based upon their particular needs. I don't believe that there is only one way to get results. We need to find your way to get the results that work for you.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am passionate about working with the military and first responders over come the trauma they experience as the do their job to help those around them. My clients are wanting a better life for themselves but often do see the way to achieve it. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their careers/relationships and environment. Together we help them see the light at the end of the tunnel and a change in their perspective of the environment in which they live.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Everyone is an individual and will process their experiences at their own pace. Trauma recovery is not a race. It goes at a slow and steady pace. Developing a safe environment for you to grow and develop.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Our minds and bodies are connected. Using Mindfulness as a daily practice will help calm our minds and get us out a flight/fight/freeze response. DBT is also a great tool when dealing not only with PTSD but Personality and Mood disorders.

Humanistic

I believe that we have the answers that we need. Through therapy you discover them for yourself . You learn to trust yourself and your decision making skills.

EMDR

I have been trained in EMDR to help with reducing traumatic memories, flashbacks, and negative thought patterns.
