Welcome! I'm Allison, a LCSW licensed in California. First, I want to acknowledge your courageous first step towards improving your life because let's be honest, its not always easy to prioritize our mental health and process the areas where we feel stuck in our lives. I strive to create a warm and empowering environment that allows clients to explore challenges or concerns related to anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. I focus on helping clients develop a deeper sense of self compassion & finding healthy coping strategies that work for them. With gentle support and understanding, therapy can empower us to create a greater understanding of our struggles. Using a compassionate and judgement free zone - together we can work collaboratively to create positive changes that align with your life's goals.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together we will start with a thorough intake on your overall health history, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. Together, we will identify your goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together and ways to adapt to whatever changes may occur.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I bring an authentic and empathetic approach to my work, grounded in both professional training and personal practice. Each treatment modality I use has been thoughtfully studied and personally integrated, allowing me to recommend interventions with confidence and clinical integrity. I specialize in supporting women across the perinatal and postpartum periods who are navigating the complex demands of motherhood, career, and family life. My work focuses on helping clients manage stress, restore balance, and cultivate resilience as they move through this season of significant transition.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Adults (18+) who are ready to engage in self-reflection, address long standing patterns, and heal in ways that support greater well-being, balance, and fulfillment—especially during the perinatal and postpartum periods.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I’ve been using CPT in my practice for the past few years. It’s helped dozens of clients process their thoughts and find ways to accept their feelings. We’ll use CPT to recognize how your symptoms might be stemming from a conflict between old beliefs about yourself and the world, often derived from childhood, and how they can often keep us stuck and hold us back.
Psychodynamic
With this approach to talk therapy, we'll focus on building insight into your unconscious thoughts, fears and patterns within the concept of how you view yourself and in your relationships.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT is designed to help individuals develop psychological flexibility by accepting their thoughts and feelings rather than attempting to change or eliminate them, and by committing to actions that are in line with their values.
