I believe that people get stronger when they process their stressors and trauma. In my practice, I offer EMDR and IFS: modalities which uncover and heal the places where we get stuck in flight, fight, freeze, or fawn. In a a safe and non judgmental space, I help clients process their negative experiences and build resilience, self empathy, and confidence.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Please schedule a free 15 minute consultation with me! During the consult, we can discuss what's bringing you to therapy and whether I have the skill set for your particular issue. It's also a great time to ask me questions about how I work or my background. In our first sessions, I will provide a safe space for you to talk. I'll ask questions about your life history so I can begin to get a picture of how you arrived at where you are. We'll work together to create a plan to help you start to get better.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'm warm and empathetic, and I like to use humor as a teaching tool. Therapy can be hard, so I like to look for places to be soft and kind with clients, and also to stretch our brains and have fun.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Do you struggle with anxiety, low self esteem, or hypervigilance that affect your relationships and ability to function? Do you feel overwhelmed by the idea of getting through the day? Do you ever wonder if your emotions could be easier to cope with? In our current social climate, many people feel like there is just too much to manage. Stress and trauma can sap your confidence and your ability to face and tolerate challenges.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I've been practicing EMDR since 2020. It works beautifully for trauma, anxiety, and phobias. It provides a framework for the brain to reprocess difficult memories that affect how we live our lives every day.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is an empathetic, imaginative process that helps us find parts of ourselves that need love and support and give it to them. I use IFS informed techniques to help heal these parts, helping clients move forward into fuller and more expansive lives.
