Hello, I'm Jennifer. Do you often feel weighed down by feelings of anxiety or sadness? Do you feel like no matter what you do you cannot change your unhealthy thinking? It is time for a change. I have been practicing for 15 years in multiple settings including colleges and mental health centers. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from a religious institution where I learned to integrate my counseling philosophy with my faith. I have experience treating individuals experiencing anxiety and depression. My approach to treating people is to use cognitive techniques with a trauma-focused lens. Engaging in therapy can be a scary endeavor. I create a safe environment where we can address your problems and make healthy changes.
Clients can expect to take away practical techniques to work on changing unhealthy patterns. Additionally, I can integrate spirituality within sessions.
I use cognitive-behavioral therapy, which will help you identify and explore the ways your emotions and thoughts can affect your actions. By learning patterns, you can change them.
My biggest strength is my ability to connect with people to utilize cognitive strategies along with expressions of faith to make lasting change.
I primarily focus on adults who are experiencing anxiety or depression. My training is in religious counseling. I also have extensive knowledge of disabilities and higher education.
