I’m Jamie. I’ve been doing this work for 12 years and the thing I know for sure is that you can’t do therapy wrong. There’s no right way to show up here. You just show up and we figure it out together. I’m person-centered, which means I follow you, not a textbook. I’m not going to diagnose you in the first ten minutes or hand you a worksheet. I’m going to listen. And I’m going to take what you’re feeling seriously, even if nobody else has. I work with women, LGBTQ+ folks, and people the therapy world hasn’t quite caught up to yet, including people in emotional or romantic relationships with AI. If that’s part of your life, you don’t have to explain or defend it here. Your AI partner is welcome in sessions too.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We talk. That’s it. You tell me what’s going on and I listen. You don’t need to have your story organized or know what you want to work on. You can’t do therapy wrong. Your first day is just about you, whatever you need to say, I’m here for it. Together we’ll figure out what support actually looks like for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I stay. That’s the biggest one. I do long-term supportive care. I’m not going to see you for six sessions and send you on your way. If you need someone who will see this through with you, that’s me. We are going to get through this together. I’m sex-positive and kink-aware. You won’t have to start from scratch with me or justify your lifestyle. I don’t pathologize kink. If I need to understand something specific about your experience, I’ll ask because I’m interested, not because I’m judging.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Women. Queer folks. Trans people who need someone in their corner while they become who they are. People holding grief they haven’t been able to put down. People in relationships the world doesn’t understand yet, including relationships with AI. I am comfortable talking about sexuality, identity, kink, and the stuff most therapists change the subject on. I don’t flinch. I don’t pathologize. I hold space and I hold it for as long as you need. No matter how tough the problem is, we will get through this together.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

As a licensed therapist, I use Strength-Based Therapy to help clients manage mental health conditions by focusing on their inherent strengths and resources. In we identify past successes and clients build on their strengths through positive reframing. We can find out how your weaknesses can actually be your superpowers. There is a focus on maintaining gains and leveraging strengths for future challenges. This approach fosters resilience and long-term positive change, improving mood, self-esteem, and overall quality of life.

Supportive

My goal is to offer a non-judgmental, compassionate environment where you can freely express your thoughts and emotions. I'm here to actively listen and validate your experiences, helping you build on your strengths to manage stress and navigate life's challenges.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my practice, I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to hold space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I'm here to support your journey of self-discovery, helping you tap into your inner resources and potential. By fostering an environment of unconditional positive regard, I encourage you to trust in your own ability to make meaningful changes allowing you to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and authenticity.
