LCSW, 20 years of experience
Welcome! I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addiction Counselor with more than 20 years of experience—and this work is truly my passion. As someone who came to this as a second career, I consider it an honor and privilege to walk alongside young adults and adults as they navigate life’s challenges. I provide counseling for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance misuse, process addictions, anger, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My counseling style is warm, empowering, and collaborative. I believe that every person has the strength and wisdom to create meaningful change, and I strive to offer a safe, respectful, and supportive space where you can explore, heal, and grow. My role as a therapist is to guide, advocate, and support you as you find your voice and build a more balanced and fulfilling life. I meet clients where they are, honoring the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. To ensure each person receives the focused care and attention they deserve, I intentionally keep a small caseload. This allows me to be fully present and responsive to each client’s unique needs. I take an integrated, person-centered approach that draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness and meditation practices, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Every treatment plan is developed collaboratively, tailored to your goals, preferences, and pace—because therapy should fit you, not the other way around. If you’re ready to take the next step toward a healthier, more grounded life, I would be honored to support you on that journey.
Our first session together is the start of your healing journey. We’ll begin with a relaxed conversation to help you feel at ease, and then gently explore what has brought you here. This time is about understanding your story—your challenges, your strengths, and your hopes for the future. From there, we’ll work together to create a personalized plan designed to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Every step we take will be grounded in your goals and guided by your inner resilience.
With over 20 years of experience walking alongside people who have faced similar challenges, I’ve developed a compassionate and proven approach to help you uncover the root causes of what’s holding you back and create a personalized plan that leads to real, measurable progress. You are here—and that means you’ve already taken the first courageous step toward a healthier, more balanced, and joyful life. This journey is about rediscovering your strength, reclaiming your sense of purpose, and building the life you deserve. I would be honored to support you every step of the way.
I love working with young adults and adults who are ready to grow and create more ease, balance, and fulfillment in their lives. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about how to move forward. They want to feel more confident, capable, and connected—but may not yet have the tools to navigate life’s ups and downs. If this sounds like you, know that you’re not alone. Together, we’ll uncover what’s holding you back and build the skills and insight you need to move through challenges with strength and grace. My goal is to help you discover your inner resilience and step into a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and at peace.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 20 years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT work and assignments to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other and change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
I've been using SFB for the past 8 years as I find it to be effective with my clients as they focus on identifying and building upon existing strengths and resources to create solutions for their challenges, rather than dwelling on the problem itself. We'll achieve this by asking targeted questions that will encourage you to envision a desired future state and identify small, achievable steps to move towards it, ultimately leading to positive outcomes by empowering you to take ownership of the change process.
I believe that mindfulness, and practices that support it, are a superpower, and have been personally practicing most of my life. Mindfulness can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Addictive behaviors, and Physical problems. Will use Mindfulness practices to help you develop awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. This will help you to manage your mental health and well-being by helping you to, focus and stay grounded on the present, avoid getting caught up in past negative experiences or future worries, and help you approach your thoughts and feelings with a clear, calm, and non-judgmental state of mind.
I use MI to support clients' self-efficacy by reinforcing their power to make the changes they want. This therapy helps me to guide you through the behavior change process, recognizing the positive changes your will be making, and offering encouragement along the way
