I am an experienced and compassionate mental health professional who is passionate about helping those living with mental health struggles - ranging from anxiety and depression to marital/relationship discord and substance abuse issues. I specialize in helping my patients overcome the pain and suffering often caused by these often debilitating mental health struggles. My ultimate goal is to help my patients defeat the mental, emotional and/or psychological barriers that prevent them from living their very best lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for more than 10 years to successfully treat clients presenting with varied clinical syndromes to include depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder and even ADHD. I find that patients appreciate the solution focused elements of the approach.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for the last 5 years as and adjunct to my use of CBT and Trauma Focused CBT and Relapse Prevention Therapy to help patients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and substance abuse disorders. I find the patients defined elements, the solution focused elements along with the varied applications of this evidence based approach.

Couples Counseling

I have used a host of evidence based approaches in my work with couples. These approaches often include communication skill building, conflict resolution strategies and focus on building intimacy back into the relationship. I have worked with more than 100 couples and have enjoyed great success in treating my couples. Client appreciate the structure, practicality, solution focused components and supportive techniques that I build into couples therapy.
