My name is Christine Miller, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in perinatal mental health and holistic healing. I am also attuned to perform Reiki, which allows me to blend therapeutic techniques with energy work to support healing on every level—mind, body, and spirit. I am passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges by turning pain into power and wounds into wisdom. Whether you’re adjusting to new parenthood, navigating the complexities of co-parenting, or seeking balance during a life transition, I would be honored to support you on your healing journey. I understand the unique challenges of motherhood, partnership, and balancing it all because I live it, too. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can express yourself freely, heal from life’s hard moments, and reconnect with your inner strength. Through a combination of therapeutic techniques, coaching skills, and Reiki, I help clients explore the root of their struggles and create meaningful, lasting changes. I believe that true healing happens when we take a holistic approach. This means looking at all aspects of your life—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual—and working together to restore balance. By embracing this process, you can achieve sustainable growth and rediscover joy and fulfillment in your life. Healing can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I would be honored to partner with you as we work to create the peace, balance, and healing you deserve. Let’s take the first step together.
In your first session, we will focus on understanding the challenges you’re facing and identifying your goals. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to address these challenges and support you every step of the way. This may include exploring habits, behaviors, beliefs, or relationships to foster lasting change. I’ll help you break down your goals into manageable steps that feel achievable and impactful. As we work together, we’ll track your progress and make adjustments to ensure you’re moving toward the life you want. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m here to guide, support, and partner with you. I look forward to helping you create meaningful, lasting change.

Structural Family Therapy (SFT) is a systemic approach that focuses on family dynamics, boundaries, and roles. The transition to parenthood often disrupts established family patterns, bringing underlying conflicts to the surface. SFT helps families create healthier boundaries and improve relational functioning. During the perinatal period, families often experience shifts in hierarchy, alliances, and expectations. A new parent might struggle with enmeshment with their own parents, conflict with their partner over parenting styles, or difficulties adjusting to co-parenting after a separation. SFT helps restructure family interactions to promote healthier functioning and emotional security for both parents and children. SFT is particularly helpful in perinatal therapy because it recognizes that a parent’s mental health does not exist in isolation—it is deeply connected to family relationships and support systems. By addressing ineffective patterns and strengthening family and/or supportive bonds, SFT fosters a more stable and nurturing environment for both the parent and child.
DBT is a structured skills based therapy that focuses on managing intense emotions, building distress tolerance and improving interpersonal relationship skills and focuses on use of mindfulness to become skillful in being present. DBT has tailored benefits for individuals struggling with mood instability, perinatal anxiety or depression, birth trauma, or difficulties in relationships throughout pregnancy and postpartum. The perinatal period often brings heightened emotional vulnerability, & clients may feel overwhelmed by shifts in identity, expectations, and hormonal changes. A new parent may experience intense mood swings, difficulty regulating frustration or sadness, or struggles in their relationship due to communication breakdowns. DBT provides practical skills to navigate these challenges with greater stability and self-compassion. DBT’s emphasis on balancing acceptance and change is particularly useful in perinatal therapy, as it helps parents acknowledge their challenges while also building the skills needed to manage them effectively.
Often times there are experiences that may arise or resurface during the perinatal period; this time of immense change can trigger unresolved trauma, weather from childhood, past relationships, medical experiences, or previous, pregnancies, births or losses. TF-CBT is a structured, skill based intervention to help birthing parents and care-givers to manage their distress, reframe negative beliefs, and strengthen emotional regulation. Many birthing parents struggle with feelings of guilt, shame and fear stemming from past trauma or their perinatal experiences. TF-CBT provides a structured yet compassionate approach to help parents & caregivers reclaim their sense of safety, process their pain & develop heathier thought patterns. In turn, supporting their emotional wellbeing and strengthen one's ability to parent with confidence.
When working with perinatal clients, IFS provides a compassionate framework for exploring the internal conflicts & protective mechanisms that arise during this life transition. Many birthing parents experience intense feelings of self-doubt, anxiety, grief or trauma often linked to their own early childhood experiences. IFS allows clients to explore these parts with curiosity rather than judgement, making a safe space for deeper healing. With IFS work in the perinatal period one could address challenges of: perfectionism & self criticism, healing of birth trauma & postpartum PTSD, & even exploring ancestral & generational patterns. In addition to regulating anxiety & depression, Strengthening attachment & bonding. IFS can be particularly helpful in the perinatal work because it encourages deep self-compassion, which is crucial for new parents navigating the challenges of identity shifts and emotional upheaval. By helping clients connect with their Self, they can approach parenting with more confidence, resilience and grace.
