About me

Hello and welcome! My name is Kate Hindle, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been practicing for about 10 years now and am a firm believer that the best way to help someone is to understand the person. Therefore, I take the time to get to know you, your struggles and goals to form a person-centered approach to our sessions.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will do introductions and explore what brings you to the session. Then we will be able to discuss how I may be able to help you and the next steps that can be taken.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked in the field for 10 years now, and not being afraid to reach out for help, I feel confident that we can utilize the tools I have learned and the resources available to us to develop the best plan for you to feel comfortable in and make progress in.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with people who are struggling with life stressors, anxiety, depression, ADHD, addiction, trauma or grief and loss. I believe that everyone has struggles at some point in their lives and it is important to want to grow and develop the tools to become a better version of ourselves or just have someone to talk too.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using this treatment method for many years but it is very effective for those who have anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use or grief and loss.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have been using this treatment method for many years but it is very effective for those who have anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use or grief and loss.

EMDR

I am in training for this and will soon be able to say I am fully trained. This method works well for those who have trauma or anxiety in that it can reduce the effect it has on their daily life.

Grief Therapy

I did my undergraduate internship working with those have lost a family member, friend, significant other, and so on due to death, injury or loss of relationship.

Motivational Interviewing

I have been using this treatment method for many years but it is very effective for everyone I meet in order to get to know you better.

Kate has been such a great therapist for me. She challenges my thoughts and really helps me get to the core of whatever issue I have. She has helped me through some tough times!

She seems capable of repairing my lost relationship with my oldest son. Time will tell if that is a possibility. That is my main concern. If that relationship heals I feel then our sessions can end.

Kate's warmth and comfortability made it very easy to understand my own issues, and feel like I should be sharing things with her, no matter how difficult they were to admit to myself.
