Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been practicing for 16 years and have had my license for 12 years. I have experience working with most age groups from children to adults. My mission is to support my clients through their pain and discomfort, and to help them towards achieving hope, insight, healing, and learning skills to cope with life's challenges. My approach is ecclectic, as I use different perspectives depending on what works best for you.
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I provide an environment whre you can feel comfortable to discuss and explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, in a safe, non-judgemental environment. My communication style is empathetic and transparent.
I have the most experience working with people with depression, anxiety, and relational issues. My clients have been eager to improve, but did not yet have the tools needed to make their goal a reality. They often felt stuck, overwhelmed and anxious.
I have been using Solution Focused Brief Treatment in my practice for at least 12 years. It has helped many clients to establish the goals that they want to achieve, then to work toward their goals in small incremental steps, while building on their strengths, and acquiring more skills that help clients to face their challenges.
I have used CBT in my prctice for at least 12 years. It has helped many clients to recognize and identify thought patterns, and how thoughts, feelings and behaviors relate to each another and can cause depression and anxiety. CBT helps to interupt old thought patterns and supports rationale thoughts that can reduce stress.
I have used mindfulnes techniques to help create awareness of clients thoughts and feelings in a nonjudgemental manner, and help people to incorporate self-care techniques which helps people to better deal with life's stressors.
