Hello! My name is Meredith, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Services Provider with 12 years of experience working in this field. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy that rejects rigid, one-size-fits-all treatment plans and completely bypasses cold clinical checklists. Instead, I view us as co-collaborators working side-by-side through the circumstances that led you to the courageous decision to seek therapy. While I take my job incredibly seriously, I also believe there is a time and place for laughter and lightheartedness, just as there is a time to allow ourselves to weep. We are all souls having a unique, human experience. It is profoundly important to me that we show up as authentically ourselves as we can be as we walk this road together.

Hi! I'm Laurie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in perinatal/postpartum mental health, and adult ADHD. I love helping clients better understand themselves and their symptoms through psychoeducation, strengths-based work, and practical, solution-focused approaches. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is at the heart of my work, with a little DBT and CBT mixed in. I also have experience with general depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, bipolar disorder, OCD, and disordered eating. The therapy space is sacred, and I will always prioritize your comfort, safety, and autonomy, while also offering a gentle nudge or challenge when it may be helpful. Your session time is yours and I deeply believe that clients are the experts on their own lives. My role is to collaborate with you and offer new perspectives, insight, and practical tools that help you build a life that feels healthier and more aligned with who you are. Outside of therapy, you'll usually find me spending time outside with my kids, reading a good psychological thriller, or soaking up whatever rest time I can get. I'd love to hear your story and be part of your healing journey!

Hi, I’m Rose Browne, a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes meaningful healing begins when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, personality disorders, and relationship challenges. My therapeutic approach is primarily psychodynamic, which means we may explore how past experiences, relationships, emotions, and patterns influence the way you experience yourself and connect with others today. I also integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and EMDR, based on your individual needs and goals. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, curious, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy is about more than managing symptoms—it can also be an opportunity to better understand yourself, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen your relationships, and develop healthier ways of navigating life's challenges. In addition to my work as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Counseling Psychology. My doctoral training continues to deepen my knowledge of psychological theory, assessment, research, multicultural perspectives, and evidence-based practice. Whether you're working through painful experiences, navigating a major transition, struggling in your relationships, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can show up authentically, explore at your own pace, build resilience, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Tennessee. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Tennessee from Memphis to Knoxville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Tennessee.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
