About me

As a psychotherapist with a wealth of experience working with individuals in diverse environments, I’m deeply committed to assisting clients in overcoming life’s challenges, such as stress, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. My expertise lies in supporting those dealing with anxiety-related disorders, OCD, self-harm, and body-focused repetitive behaviors like skin picking and hair pulling. I employ a range of evidence-based therapy models, carefully customized to address the unique needs of each client.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first meeting, you can count on a patient, validating, and active listener who is entirely open to your needs. Together, we will create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel fully heard and understood.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist who navigates a Body-Focused Repetitive Behavior (BFRB) firsthand, my approach combines clinical expertise with genuine, lived understanding. I know what it feels like to navigate shame, urges, and the frustration of repetitive cycles. In my practice, you will find a truly non-judgmental space where we move past superficial advice to build compassionate, realistic strategies for long-term healing.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is an adolescent, young adult, or professional who feels exhausted from hiding their internal struggles behind a high-functioning exterior. They are often navigating major life transitions, high stress, or perfectionism, while quietly battling compulsive cycles, anxiety, or a Body-Focused Repetitive Behavior (BFRB) like hair pulling or skin picking. They are deeply weary of simplistic advice like "just stop" and the heavy shame that follows a setback. Instead, they approach therapy ready for an authentic, non-judgmental partnership. They want to understand the sensory or emotional triggers behind their urges, and they are motivated to practice real-world, compassionate strategies between our sessions to reclaim control over their mind and body.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

"I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the deep connections between your thoughts, emotions, and physical actions. By identifying automatic triggers, we will replace harsh perfectionism with self-compassion and use practical, evidence-based behavioral strategies to interrupt compulsive habits. Together, we will transform overwhelming cycles into manageable, real-world tools so you can confidently navigate daily life."

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) by helping you gently and gradually face the thoughts, physical sensations, or triggers that cause you distress without relying on compulsive behaviors or repetitive habits. Together, we will build a structured, collaborative plan to increase your discomfort tolerance, allowing you to retrain your nervous system and break free from the cycle of anxiety.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help you stop fighting or running from difficult thoughts, physical sensations, and urges, allowing them to exist without defining your actions. Together, we will practice mindful acceptance of what you cannot change, while empowering you to take meaningful, goal-oriented steps that align with your deepest personal values.

Attachment-based

Through attachment-based therapy, we will explore how your earliest relationships and family dynamics shape the way you navigate trust, intimacy, and conflict today. By processing these past experiences, we will work together to heal relational wounds, quiet old fears of abandonment or rejection, and build a secure, confident baseline for your current relationships.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Through mindfulness-based therapy, I will help you develop a gentle, moment-to-moment awareness of your current thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations without judgment or criticism. By learning to anchor yourself in the present, you can step out of automatic stress cycles, calm an overactive nervous system, and respond to life’s challenges with clarity rather than reactive habits.
