I am currently working as an LCSW providing readjustment counseling services to Veterans, their spouses, and families. Throughout my education and current work I can make an impact on my clients by helping them learn the tools they need to move forward in a more positive manner with regard to mental health. My goal is to give my clients the tools they need to have the most optimal outcome.
I work with individuals and families ages 6-80+ and is licensed to provide services in Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Indiana. (Clients must be located in one of these states at the time of each session.) I also serve as a Clinical Supervisor for Master’s-level interns working toward licensure. I am currently advancing my work in relational and sexual wellness through specialized training with the Sexual Health Alliance and am pursuing Board Certification as a Sex Therapist.
With 20+ years of experience in education and mental health, I bring a broad and practical perspective to her work. Prior to transitioning to remote work in 2020, I served as a Director of Telehealth and providing individual, group, and family therapies. My background also includes 10+ yrs in Florida schools as a School Counselor, Behavior Specialist, Crisis Intervention Trainor, and Professional Development Resource Teacher, as well as experience in Texas as a therapist, Teacher, and Lead School Counselor.
I provide individual therapy and, when covered by insurance, couples therapy for mild to moderate concerns. Her approach is collaborative and tailored to each client, drawing from PCT, CBT, BSFT, ACT, Family Systems work, Neuro-psychotherapy Techniques, and mindfulness-based practices. Sessions are typically short-term (12–16 sessions).
Outside of clinical work, I am an Army Reserve Veteran, a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, Pirates fan, enjoy traveling, staying active, and spending time with pets, neighbors, family, and friends.
I am committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and supportive space for individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations. To ensure our sessions remain a focused and neutral space for your personal growth, I do not incorporate discussions or disclosures regarding political affiliations or religious beliefs into my practice. This boundary allows us to prioritize your clinical goals and maintain a dedicated environment for your mental wellness.
I'm Beth Kaminsky, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in modern psychoanalytic and attachment-based therapy, integrated with mindfulness-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Much of my work centers on a simple but often overlooked idea: the patterns shaping your life today — how you argue, withdraw, overwork, or self-protect — were formed by earlier relational experience, often outside conscious awareness. I also draw on literature; the way a well-drawn character reveals themselves slowly, often to their own surprise, mirrors how self-understanding actually unfolds in therapy.
Rather than staying purely in the past, we bring that understanding into the present — noticing how old patterns show up in a hard conversation, a recurring conflict, or a feeling you can't quite name — and building the capacity to respond with more awareness and less reactivity. The goal isn't insight for its own sake, but change you can actually feel in daily life.
As a first-generation college graduate, I am passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and difficult experiences. I deeply value building a strong therapeutic relationship and strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported from the very beginning.
Within this space, we will work collaboratively toward your goals, fostering self-awareness, growth, and overall healing. My approach is compassionate and client-centered, with a focus on helping you feel empowered throughout your journey.

You’re the one everyone depends on — the one who keeps showing up, pushing through, and holding everything together for everyone else. But underneath it all, you may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, anxious, or disconnected from yourself. Maybe you spend so much time caring for others that your own needs have been pushed to the side. If that sounds familiar, you are not alone, and you do not have to carry it all by yourself anymore.
Welcome, I’m Sharmane Jackson, a therapist based in Pennsylvania, and I’m truly glad you’re here. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. Therapy with me is about helping you feel heard, supported, and empowered while working toward meaningful change.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, relationship stress, emotional overwhelm, and the emotional weight of constantly pouring into others while neglecting themselves. My approach is compassionate, human-centered, and culturally responsive, blending emotional support with practical tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally balanced in your daily life.
Together, we may explore patterns that leave you feeling stuck, strengthen coping skills and boundaries, process difficult emotions, and create more space for your own needs without guilt. I believe healing happens in spaces where people feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and fully themselves.
Whether you’re seeking clarity, healthier relationships, or simply a place where you no longer have to carry everything alone, therapy can be the beginning of feeling like yourself again.
Taking the first step can feel intimidating, but you’ve already started by being here. I would be honored to support you in your healing and growth.
I’m a therapist who believes mental health care should feel approachable, supportive, and grounded in genuine human connection. My style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I aim to create a space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and explore challenges without pressure or pretense. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you, but about helping you better understand yourself, your experiences, and your patterns.
A balance of empathy and practicality shapes my clinical work. I integrate evidence-based techniques with authentic, real conversations. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, or life transitions, we work together to build insight, coping skills, and emotional resilience.
In addition to my therapy work, I also work as an ICU nurse, which has deeply influenced my perspective on stress, trauma, and the complexity of being human. That experience allows me to bring a grounded, compassionate, and realistic understanding of life’s pressures into the therapy room.
Outside of work, I value quiet, restorative time. I enjoy working out, staying active, and taking care of my own well-being. I love spending time at home with my husband and our pets, and I’m a big fan of unwinding with a good movie. I believe balance, connection, and moments of calm are essential — not just luxuries — and I often help clients explore how to build more of that into their own lives.

Tired of reading bios? I would be too, so I'll keep it short:
I graduated from UPenn 10+ years ago with a Master's in Social Work. I have experience working in almost every setting you could imagine.
I specialize in making people feel comfortable, safe, and validated. I specialize in treating my clients like they matter, are important & are worthy, no matter what they look like, sound like, or "seem" like. I'm also an expert in being a real human being and not a robot with automated responses who will "mhmm" you to death.
My "approach" is understanding that I can't expect you to expose the deepest, darkest, most vulnerable parts of yourself to me if I remain a complete stranger to you. In our sessions, I want you to feel like you're with one of your best friends who you can trust, laugh and ugly-cry with.
My only goal is to make you feel like you're not alone. Like you have someone in your corner who will fight for you, laugh with you, curse with you, and ugly-cry with you (I'm totally kidding, kinda, that part's negotiable).

How I Can Help

You May Be a Good Fit If:
You’re ready to be honest with yourself
You want more than coping—you want change
You’re willing to engage consistently in the process
Not a Fit If:
You are in active crisis or looking for support without being ready to take an active role in your healing.
I provide more than talk therapy & integrate a clinical approach grounded in research on neuroscience and psychology. I have 21-plus years of post-licensure experience and a demonstrated history of providing comprehensive clinical expertise in addition to supervising and training other therapists as a clinical supervisor. My educational and career development opportunities were significantly enriched through clinical supervision with a psychiatrist, which provided invaluable insights into diagnostic frameworks, and effective treatment interventions. Additionally, my work alongside multidisciplinary clinical treatment teams at various psychiatric hospitals has enhanced my understanding of holistic mental health care, and deepened my skills in managing complex cases, contributing to patient assessments, and coordinating effective interventions across diverse treatment settings.
My background has been shaped by walking alongside people through some of life’s most difficult and vulnerable experiences. I began working in hospice care, where I learned the importance of presence, compassion, and creating space for grief and meaning at the end of life. From there, I moved into intensive case management and addiction counseling in a methadone clinic, supporting individuals navigating substance use, trauma, and significant life challenges. Over time, my work has focused more deeply on individuals living with complex trauma, dissociation, personality disorders, severe mental illness, and experiences of domestic violence. These experiences have taught me how important it is to move gently, build trust at a pace that feels safe, and truly meet people where they are. I bring a steady, nonjudgmental presence into the therapy room, with the understanding that healing often begins in feeling seen, understood, and not alone.

I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy (CRT) for individuals managing chronic pain, traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), and cognitive challenges, as well as aging adults with or without these concerns.
My approach emphasizes taking a realistic and compassionate look at pain, memory issues, and other related symptoms, helping clients understand their experiences without fear or avoidance. Together, we develop a personalized plan that acknowledges these challenges while focusing on building resilience, improving cognitive and emotional functioning, and creating a meaningful, fulfilling life. I work with adults and older adults navigating life transitions, cognitive changes, and the emotional impact of aging, equipping them with the tools to adapt, regain control, and maintain independence at any stage of life.
My research focuses on women’s health, autonomy, and decision-making in medical, relational, and workplace contexts. I am particularly interested in how gender role beliefs and power dynamics can influence health outcomes, self-advocacy, and access to care. This work informs my clinical practice by ensuring that therapy remains collaborative, respectful of autonomy, and attentive to the unique social pressures women and men may experience.
Hi, I'm Lyndsey. I'm so glad you’re here :). I have been a counselor for 13 years. I'm passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing relationship issues and neurodivergent (autism, ADHD etc.) adults and adolescents. I also work with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and other clinical disorders. I understand that these struggles can feel overwhelming and deeply personal, and I work to meet clients where they are with empathy, respect, and practical support. I'm looking forward to beginning this journey with you.
