Hi, my name is Mary. I am a Licenced Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of PA. I received my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kutztown University in 2016. I have been providing counseling serves for the late 8 year with in the community and school setting. I have had the pleasure of working with a varities of individual and families throughout this time.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will do introductions, we will talk about what the counseling process is like. We will explore any past experiences you have had with therapy, what was helpful, what wasn't helpful to you. We will then dive into your current struggles and what you hope to get out of therapy. Together we will create a plan to help you that.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the last 8 years I have work hard to gain understanding of how family systems play a role in life, and over all mental health. I work hard to create a safe space for you to open up and be honest about things going on in your life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Understanding our thought process is so beneficial to changing how we see and react to the world around us. We learn how situation and/or events trigger a thought or feeling, which often impacts our next choices. With CBT therapy we break down this cycle to create healthy positive thinking habits to improve our mood, reduce our anxiety and react differently to situation.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered allows you to choose what we work on each day. This is your life, and your mental health. You deserve the right to direct the therapy to places and areas of your life that you truly want and need help with.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

When we identify what we want out of something, we are left with creating the plan to get there. Solution focus is a short term treatment to help reach that goal. This allows us to focus on the here and to reach that end goal.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma informed care is the bases of how I interact with all individuals. We have all had negative things happen in our past, understanding that helps me to approach and interact with all individual with empathy, support and understanding.

Strength-Based

Every Client has strengths, some just need help identifying their strengths. Once we identify the strength and acknowledge it, we are able to build on that to improve their overall quality of life.
