I am in drug addiction recovery and have been sober for 18 years. Started as a counselor assistant about 16 years ago, gained many years of experience working with many different clients' challenges and various cultures. I come from a non-judgmental perspective as I understand the importance of clients feeling safe in session. I absolutely love doing this kind of work.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Virginia with more than 30 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, panic, trauma, grief, relationship stress, and major life transitions. I often work with people who appear to be managing well on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of themselves inside.
My style is warm, active, and structured. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be fully yourself without worrying about saying the “right” thing or having everything figured out. Together, we slow things down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and work toward feeling calmer, more grounded, confident, and able to trust yourself.
I have worked in an inpatient behavioral health center for the last 15 years which has provided me a great opportunity to gain experience with most of the reasons why someone would seek therapy. I prefer to not take the role of the "expert" in therapy and feel it is important to have a collaborative approach. That doesn't mean that I won't challenge you or point out maladaptive behavioral patterns/thought processes. I pride myself on being personal and authentic while keeping the focus on you.
If you are here because you are struggling with anxiety, eating disorders, low self-esteem, and life transitions there is a way out. If you are experiencing panic attacks and anxiety I can provide you the hope that you can heal. If you feel stuck in life, let's get unstuck. I work with those experiencing grief in relationships, loss of loved ones, pets, and autonomy. My clients are creative individuals who often take the world on their shoulders. I work with parents, partners, children, siblings, and professionals who need to be heard and seen.

My passion is working with children, teenagers, young adults, couples and families to process trauma and difficult experiences so they can experience growth and healing within themselves and their relationships. Through my work with individuals and family's I have learned the deep importance of understanding "what has happened" to people rather than viewing people through the lens of "what is wrong with people". Likewise, the importance of understanding one's family of origin and how this shapes our views of people and the world and impacts how we relate with people and navigate our world. I work from a relational, psychodynamic, family-systems, trauma-informed, and neurobiological perspective. Feel free to reach out for more information!

As both a former Army Behavioral Health Officer and seasoned civilian therapist, I specialize in treating trauma, PTSD, depression, and life transitions using evidence-based therapies like CBT and supportive approaches. I aim to provide a compassionate, culturally competent space where healing, growth, and resilience are possible.
I am the mother to 2 grown children and a grandmother. I was married for over 40 years prior to my husband passing, I now share my house with a Golden Retriever.
I went back to school later in life, and like to encourage others to do the same if possible.
My first experience in this field came when I got a job at a county mental health/developmental services program as a receptionist. I was motivated by all the great work that the caseworkers were doing to improve their clients lives. I went back to school to finish my Bachelors and finally received a Masters in Social work. I retired from the county program as a Casework Supervisor, I felt that my position was becoming more administrative, and I was missing the connections I had made with my clients.
At that time I felt it was time to work on what my original goal was which was to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I did work for 5 years with children with behavioral issues in school and in their homes.
My previous position was in a small practice in rural PA, where I learned the importance of being eclectic in my treatment approach because every clent and their situation is different , and they deserve to have a treatment plan specifically targeted to their situation

I specialize in supporting individuals — both adolescents and adults — navigating the aftermath of trauma, loss, adoption/foster care challenges, grief, anxiety, and depression. With children and teens, I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF‑CBT), integrating trauma‑informed strategies tailored to younger clients.
