I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Pennsylvania. I have experience working in the field of mental health and behavioral health since 2003. I have worked with individuals with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, addiction issues, and other mental health/behavioral health issues. I also helped people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I consider myself an eclectic psychotherapist. I believe that no one individual is the same as another, therefore treatment should be personalized. Based on where the individual is at and their goals for life and goals for therapy will determine what technique I will use. Techniques may change from session to session. Some techniques I use include, but not limited to, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Reality Therapy. People seek therapy for a variety of reasons and seek therapy at different stages in their lives. My therapeutic approach begins with meeting the individual where he/she is currently. Each person and their situation are unique which is why I am a strong believer that person centered is the best approach as therapy is not one size fits all. I value developing a therapeutic relationship with each individual that I provide services. My goal is to allow the individual to feel comfortable in each session as a result of me offering respect and empathy, being able to accept, and being genuine and authentic. In return I ask that each person is committed to the process and honest throughout. Taking the steps to seek therapy is the first step to seeking change. If you’re ready to take that step, I am here to guide and support you.

Hi, I’m Danny – and therapy with me is real, collaborative, and (yes) often filled with laughter. I’m a solutions-focused therapist who believes healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. I bring empathy, humor, and a deep respect for your unique story to every session. My approach is about more than just processing—it's about helping you move forward, feel more like yourself, and build a life that actually feels good to live. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions, trauma, identity exploration, and relational dynamics. I have a special focus on LGBTQ+ clients and families, and I’m deeply affirming of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures. Whether you’re coming out, going through a breakup, shifting family roles, or recovering from difficult past experiences—I’m here to walk with you, not ahead of you. You won’t get generic nods or vague advice from me. Instead, we’ll work together to find practical tools that fit your real life, while also giving space to feel, reflect, and grow. My style is down-to-earth, warm, and direct—like a supportive conversation with someone who really gets it. Therapy can be transformative, and it can also be human and even kind of fun. If you’re looking for someone who will take your challenges seriously without making the process feel like a chore, we might be a great fit.

Are you having a hard time and in need of someone to listen and help you figure things out? Then now is the time to begin therapy. Hello, I’m Michael Zwizanski, a licensed therapist in Philadelphia, working with individual clients throughout Pennsylvania. I hold a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University and I’ve been honored to support clients through a wide range of personal challenges and life transitions. I offer a safe, affirming space for clients to explore challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, family conflict, identity issues, and life transitions. My practice is anti-racist, sex-positive, LGBTQ+ competent, and gender-affirming. I recognize my privilege as a cisgender, white, male professional and strive to position myself as an equal collaborator in the therapeutic process, fostering mutual respect and growth. My approach integrates attachment-based therapy, parts work, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed care to help clients understand the emotional roots of their struggles and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. I have experience supporting transgender clients through all stages of social, medical, and legal transition, and I am also competent in working with ethically non-monogamous individuals. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the entertainment industry. Now, I provide therapy to artists, musicians, actors, and entrepreneurs. Understanding the unique pressures and creative self-doubt they experience, I help clients navigate the drive for self-expression and the obstacles that can impede personal growth. I specialize in helping clients navigate major life transitions—such as becoming a parent, getting married or divorced, changing careers, or coping with health challenges and grief. No matter the transition, I’m here to support you in finding clarity, healing and a path forward. Whether you're feeling anxious, stuck, or seeking a space to grow, I would be honored to support you on your path.

Hi, I'm Hannah. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I'd like to work together if you think we'd be a good fit. In my practice, I work with clients to explore the roots of such issues as stress, anxiety, and relationships. Together, we’ll look at the coping skills that once helped but may no longer serve you and identify the triggers and patterns keeping you stuck. We’ll consider how your past and present interactions shape your experiences today. I take a strengths-based, person-centered stance that’s rooted in feminist and LGBTQ-affirming values. I’m an active, engaged therapist—warm, accessible, and not afraid to bring humor into the room when it’s helpful. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen and heard, where we can explore your story with curiosity and care, and where growth feels possible.

I believe every person has a unique and valuable perspective to share, and that your voice matters. I also have an old cat who may make an appearance from time to time. I love connecting with nature, birding, hiking, and being outdoors. I enjoy baking, making art, dancing, collecting books I hope to read, and tea. I dabble in tarot cards, reiki, and playing music.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Pennsylvania rather than a city like Philadelphia?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh to Scranton! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Pennsylvania.

Will my therapist take Oxford?

Yes! If you use Oxford you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Oxford you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
