My name is Michael Ermalinski, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 35 years of clinical experience. I hold an M.S. from St. Joseph’s University and a B.A. from New York University, supported by extensive post-graduate work in clinical psychology. I have dedicated my career to being a steady, reliable anchor for my clients, combining deep clinical wisdom with a modern, evidence-based approach to help you achieve lasting mental wellness.
From our very first meeting, my priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and—most importantly—understood. Beyond a thorough clinical evaluation, we will begin building a real, supportive partnership where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. My goal is for you to walk away from our first session feeling a genuine sense of relief and empowerment, knowing you have an expert advocate in your corner.
What sets my practice apart is a unique blend of heart, high energy, and a practical, real-world approach to problem-solving. Clients often tell me that my authenticity and sense of humor provide a vital sense of hope, even in their darkest moments. I don't just offer "talk therapy"; I provide a collaborative environment and a solid foundation of clinical expertise to help you build a more resilient and sustainable future.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and Mood Disorders, including Depression and Bipolar Disorder. I am particularly passionate about helping those newly diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder develop a treatment strategy they can feel confident in. I also have a high success rate with "therapy skeptics"—individuals who may be hesitant about the process or who have struggled to find a true connection with a therapist in the past.

Michael has been the life rope that pulled me out of a very dark and dismal place. I was a career firefighter who suffered an accident with severe spinal damage. 13 surgeries later and long term opioid treatments for pain mgmt. it ate away at my resistance. I finally hit proverbial rock bottom. But Michael and I have worked hand and hand to create an effective plan to equip me with the tools to rise up and become again the man I was before this happened. I am truly grateful for Michael.

I did have one session with him, but I didn’t feel it was productive. he mostly listened and offered no actionable steps. After that, he kept rescheduling appointments over two weeks, then told me he couldn’t help. In total, three weeks were wasted, and I didn’t get meaningful support. I hope others have a more constructive experience.
