Hi, I’m Jen. I’m a licensed professional counselor with 10 years of experience. I’m so happy you’re here, I know how hard getting help can feel. I help my clients manage life adjustments and the stress that may bring to their lives. I also help those struggling with other sources of stress and anxiety feel more empowered to get the things they want and achieve greater peace of mind.
At our first session together we’ll spend some time getting to know each other, as well as the things that brought you in to treatment. By the end of the first session we’ll piece together a collaborative plan to work towards your specific goals.
In the 10 years I’ve been working with clients, my greatest strengths are helping clients feel comfortable, valued and empowered to take the skills I teach them and practically apply them in their lives for a greater sense of peace and harmony.
I love helping young adults build confidence in who they are by developing skills to better navigate stress, and adjustment to new responsibilities and relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapies are helpful in a wide range of ways to help many kinds of issues you may be facing. It allows me, as your therapist, to help you explore the way your thoughts and mindset, along with your pattern of behavior could be contributing towards the persistence of anxiety, depression and other destabilizing moods. It offers both a collaborative and semi-structured way to look at the concerns you have and work towards the goals you set for treatment.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use Dialectical Behavior therapy to inform treatment. It offers a holistic perspective to target certain behaviors that may be interfering with relationships, our ability to manage stress and even our overall quality of life.
Integrative
I appreciate using an integrative therapy approach, meaning I use many different treatment methods based on each individual client, their goals and the things going on in their life. It allows me to be flexible, and find what works best for YOU.
