I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I treat the co-occurring disorders accompanying anxiety such as depression and trauma using evidenced based approaches creating an environment that helps you identify solutions that allow for growth and change. Utilizing a neuroscience based approach, I will help you learn about what parts of the brain are involved in anxiety, how they interact with each other and potentially increase the intensity of anxiety, and targeted interventions for each part of the brain so that lasting change is made. I also specialize in treating ADHD and as a psychotherapist with ADHD, I can help provide unique perspectives and approaches to working through and managing ADHD with and without medication! Taking the step towards getting help can be difficult! It is also the most important step toward feeling relief and being able to thrive in life. I work to provide a safe space to discuss ideas and issues that affect people compassionately and without judgement. I offer insight into thinking about issues from a solutions focused perspective. With an empathetic, honest, problem solving approach, I can help you identify what needs to be changed, and potential options for making those changes. I have a desire to meet you where you are so we can develop a plan to reach the goals you set for therapy.

Do you struggle with feeling an abrupt surge of fear that seems hard to predict? Maybe it is easy to predict and hard to control. Does the thought of what others might think or say prevent you from making connections with others? Experiencing doubt and uncertainty about the future can be difficult and make it hard to navigate life. Worrying about decisions that need to be made can leave us feeling stuck. Maybe there is an increasingly persistent and repetitive worry that is impossible to ignore? Followed by an overwhelming feeling of doom that urges you to act or something terrible will happen. Perhaps you feel like the effort you make at work, in school, and in relationships is greater than the the outcome achieved? Maybe there has been difficulties with staying organized, problems with forgetfulness, and feeling like there is something holding you back from achieving your goals and full potential. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This helps to identify the thoughts and beliefs that are triggered when emotions are triggered. This is beneficial toward limiting the tendency of thoughts, beliefs, and interpretations of events to intensify the feelings that have been triggered. From there, working on new methods of thinking and engaging in activities to create necessary changes for long term relief.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

The most evidenced backed method of treatment for working through OCD. This can be done in session virtually, either working through the triggers and responses in session, or setting the plan and processing the successes and difficulties encountered in each session.

Integrative

I combine elements of different treatment methods to create a customized treatment for each client. This includes Existential, DBT, Behavioral, and Solutions focused treatments.

Psychoeducation

Learning about what contributes to what you are experiencing helps to remove the potential mystery and begins to help build awareness of how and what contributes to how you are feeling. This can be a powerful tool for noticing things earlier and taking proper action in the future so that you have more effective tools for managing symptoms.
