Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I will work to develop a collaborative and trusting alliance with you. My goal is to help you feel empowered and ready to make changes. Together, we’ll explore strategies to manage stress, set boundaries, and build resilience — so you can continue to care for others without losing yourself in the process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My years of providing compassionate therapy have enabled me to provide insightful, meaningful support. I believe life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Let me help you learn and develop better ways to address issues that are standing in the way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with people who want to learn more about themselves and who want to make meaningful changes in their lives. People who feel stuck or overwhelmed by life's challenges benefit from my approach and support.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I will guide you in recognizing how unhelpful or negative thought patterns are negatively affecting your life and relationships. These patterns can make us feel stuck and lead to struggles with anxiety and depression. Using CBT, along with my guidance, will enable you to gain a better understanding of your emotions, behaviors and motivations.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am a DBT certified therapist. DBT focuses on developing skills to manage emotions and improve interpersonal relationships. DBT is helpful because it combines emotional acceptance and change strategies in a practical, structured way.

Shannon listens carefully and pinpoints areas where I may not be aware of what I'm struggling with or how I'm interpreting situations/other's behavior. She's honest and straightforward.
